Milescraft 8407 ScribeTec - Scribing and Compass Tool

Another great product from the company. As I would always suspect everything I purchased from them is always made high-quality durable and worth the money.

Now that I have it, I realize how much I always needed one. I have used it to scribe lines for trimming shelves and as a compass for drawing circles for cabinet holes! The surprise feature is being able to use a carpenters pencil to scribe those long lines on rough lumber! I really like this handy tool!

Was finicky trying to tighten the right nobs to keep it from moving and keeping an accurate cut. A couple of times it moved mid marking and we had to start over. Still recommend.

I needed a woodworking Compass for my home shop. I ordered this item based on internet reviews. The item seems to be well made, with the body being made out of plastic. It has a built-in pencil sharpener (it does come with a pencil) and the point is retractable which is a good safety feature. I recommend this product.

Handy little scribe. It sure came in handy when remodeling my mom's home. Easy to use. I love how it scribes when fitting uneven surfaces. Trim along the scribe line and your piece fits like a glove.

It's better than the old school-supply compass I was using but it tends to loosen up and the radius changes. The only thing really tight is the pencil holder and that makes it really hard to adjust.

The only thing that I found negative was rhe pencil's lead is too soft and wears too quick bringing some inaccuracy to the scribimg but that's nothing to do with the tool wich is excellent, just get the pencil replaced and it would be awesomesome

It is nice scribe and does what it needs to do and gives you many different angels to scribe but the cheap plastic and threads make it hard to keep it at the desired height sometimes.
