Professional grade tool
My 13 year old loves this machine. It's a great tool top help him get his daily reps in a variety of situations. He sets this up and loads about a dozen balls onto it then hits the switch and works on his hand /eye coordination. He uses it 3 or 4 times a week and plugs it in overnight about once per week. He has not run the internal battery dead yet and he takes 50+ balls from it in each of the hitting sessions that he uses it. It is easily portable and tosses the balls perfectly. It will also toss the smaller Jugs college 6 training balls. The machine does misfire once every 3 or 4 dozen pitches but when this happens it simply does not launch a ball and keeps right on going. He has easily used it for 1000+ tosses and it is still in great working order. This is a well constructed professional grade tool. Would definitely purchase it again either for home use or more rigorous use in a dedicated Baseball training program. If someone you know is serious about baseball this is a must have for daily BP reps.

Very handy machine for working on hitting
I use the Juggs Toss Machine for regulation ASA softballs (MacGregor X52RE ASA, 12-Inch) mostly. The machine is deceptively simple--a feed, a power switch, and a recharging slot. But it generally does what it's supposed to. Flip the switch and about every 5 seconds it tosses a softball about 3 feet off the ground and 5-10 feet forward.Positives:1. Battery powered, runs for quite a long time on a charge. Probably 9 buckets of balls (20 balls/bucket) and I load them so I skip half of the tosses--I'm getting at least 400 cycles of tosses per charge it seems.2. Easy to carry and set up--probably takes max of 30 sec to get it throwing where you want it to.Works well with pretty much any type of ball. I've used regulation softballs, baseballs, and foam balls. Throws lightweight foam softballs ~10 feet in the air.3. Has a regular, mechanical repeating cycle--you can tell by the sound when it's going to pitch.Comments:1. It really doesn't work well with a chute-load of normal softballs. The seams cause the balls to hang up or roll unevenly into the throwing mechanism. Also, when the balls do advance, sometimes the next ball will cause the pitch to be short. I load each ball individually--so the spring hits the ball in the same place. A bit tedious, but this produces uniform tosses that are easy to whack. Toss, hit, wait one cycle, then load. You end up hitting every 10 or 15 seconds which is just fine with me.Others have noted that the dimpled balls roll into the feed easier--I like the sound and feel of real softballs, but I may spring for some dimpled balls and edit the review.2. It sits on the ground and does not throw the balls that high into the air--if you're expecting a regulation 6+foot softball throw, or need pitches that are chest high, this is not your machine. It does a good job of throwing belt-high tosses. Also, you gotta get used to how it throws--If you look down at the ball in the machine, it's very unnatural. I just stand with a normal stance put it about 5-10 feet from home plate and the ball pops up into my field of vision.3. It isn't cheap, but I'd say it is a good value. I hesitated a long time in buying it because of the price. Now that I have it, I use it all the time. With the current situation (social distancing etc...) it's great to keep your skills going with little or no effort. Very easy to do a 30 minute hitting practice if you can find a place to hit or hit into a net.I rated this 5 stars. It has it's issues, but is probably the most useful device for improving my hitting, contact, and mechanics that I've found. Much much better than hitting off a tee. I like it better than going to a batting cage because I can actually see how far the ball travels with different bats, swing mechanics, and launch angles. Has helped me objectively figure out which of my many bats lets me drive the ball farthest. Also, I do love the safety of this. No pitcher 45 feet away to worry about. :-)Finally, my kids love it too, even though they don't play in a league. Just fun to go hit some dingers with dad.

Quality is key
This thing is built with strong materials and feels very durable. Seems like it is built to last.It is an awesome tool. I play adult baseball and this is a great way to take 45-60 hacks in 20 minutes in the backyard. Much better than hitting off of a tee, there's just something about tracking a moving ball and getting your hands through it. If I would have bought this in college, maybe I wouldn't have hit .220!

Solid soft toss machine
Soft toss is an essential drill to get alot of batting repetitions for youngsters with minimal time & effort; hence, this machine is one of the first baseball items I purchased.I was swayed by the popular review already here on Amazon comparing this with the similarly purposed Easton Machine. That review stressed the solid nature of this machine & I can confirm this. I've not seen the Easton machine in real life, although the picture on Amazon didn't look as robust as this Jugs model. This is a heavy machine with an iron action bar that tosses a ball up every 4-5 seconds. The machine holds approximately a dozen balls. It is generally consistent in its tosses, although sometimes a little on the low side (i.e. with respect to the height of the toss). Its battery seems to hold a charge well; we've only charged it several times in the few years we've had it.I have no serious complaints about this machine. It does seem a little overpriced, but that applies to baseball gear in general, I suppose. The machine tends to move after repeated tosses & this requires occasional re-positioning. Finally, there is no way to adjust the toss. That said, these are just quibbles; we're quite pleased with this machine, overall.

A great tool for any coach.
I purchased the soft toss machine to work with my son as well as my little league team. On batting practice days we used the soft toss machine into a net as one of several practice stations. The battery lasts a really long time. I can get through a few days of practice before it shows any signs of slowing down. My son used the machine at practice as well as at home on off days. My younger daughter loves using the machine to hit the balls in the yard. It is expensive but works well and appears to be durable and reliable. My only complaints is that there is no light to indicate if the battery is charging or when the battery is fully charged.

Great product
This machine work great and the battery is really good it last very long. I use for softball practice dimpled balls works better real ball get stuck when rolling down. Maybe using softball with stiches in is better but the one that I have has the the stiches bumpy. I also bought Jug's Lite Fly balls which are very light the balls travels around 9 feet high good for slow pitch softball.

great machine! handy to use anywhere, and it will make your player a better hitter.
love this machine, it helped make my grandson one of the best hitters on his team in his first year of coach pitch. Using this machine a few days a week, and for a few minutes before each game moved him up in the batting order from 8th to 4th after just a couple of weeks. the rechargeable battery means you can use it anywhere. Very well made and should last him for years as this is a machine he can use his entire career.

Great way to get in extra swings.
I have two sons playing baseball, and I have been looking at this item for a while. I encourage them to get in as many swings as possible in between their regular practice and they are usually very good about it. The problem is that I am not always available to toss to them. I finally broke down and bought this and honestly I cant believe I waited as long as I did. They are able to get in a quick 100-150 hits in in less than 30 minutes a day including set up of the Bownet and Jugs Toss machine. Money well spent. Additionally, I have now integrated the machine into my sons team batting practice and once the kids got used to it, it has been a big success as well. We added another station to their rotation without the need for additional coaches. The battery has also lasted far longer than I ever would have expected. One item of note, when I purchased this they also offered another version with a remote control for around $50 more. I thought that was unnecessary for the price, but later it came down to within $25 of the price without. I think that would be nice to have for $25, though not critical. Would love to know if it could be added on after the fact, but I have been able to find out.

Well built soft toss machine.
Yeah, you can buy a soft toss machine for under a hundred dollars but what is the quality like? This thing is well built, like a tank. It also throws regular old baseballs. My batting cage area (as pictured) is 20X10X10 and the Jugs does a great job at soft tossing in a compact area like this. I have smacked a couple balls off it and it hasn't left a blemish. I am using Rawlings ROML MLB spec balls. Have used it for about four hours and still holds a charge No issues with balls getting stuck but I don't use softballs. Nine inch baseballs have been flawless. I do wish it held more balls than 14.I will review it again at the end of summer to see how it holds up. I suspect it will be fine as it is all quality parts and nothing cheap about it. The only thing made of plastic is the tough outer shell. It's a well built machine.

I can finally practice inside during winter!Couple with jugs inside practice ball and a loose old sheet hanging from the ceiling and I cannot break walls nor windows. It was more for the kids in the neighborhood to have some fun, but now comes winter, and I’m in my basement staying loose for next season.Battery stays good almost all day without stopping. 8 to 19……. Yeah, they had a blast!Really nice piece, I suggest to everyone who wants to practice baseball all year long!Cheers

Pretty good
Got this for my boys and me for some quick bp and it does the job. You may have to use a small bin or milk crate to get the desired height, but overall a good product
