Shark Cordless Upright Vacuum Cleaner [ICZ160UKT] 50 Minute Run Time*, Pet Tool, Anti Hair Wrap, Red

Our new Shark ICZ160UKT has really impressed and works like a champ, both as an upright and a handheld unit. It's really nicely made with a quality feel. In fact it's such a satisfying vacuum it's actually encouraged this household to vacuum the house more frequently! The Shark absolutely blows our Gtech AirRam K9 out of the water and puts our older Dyson DC-31 Animal to shame. The Shark picks up all the grit and debris on our hard floors (tiles and wood) unlike the Gtech (which has always been very fussy, spewing out the majority of gritty bits). Dyson claim their vacuum's never lose suction. Ours certainly did! The Shark, however, just keeps on sucking and gobbling up dirt, dust and debris until the battery runs out - which is about 18-25 minutes when used on a combination of hard floors and carpets with boost mode activated for a couple of minutes. The anti-hair brush roller works extremely well (it hasn't blocked once for us and we live in a long hair household). The Gtech AirRam was a disaster in this regard and its powered roller brush became entwined with ridiculous amounts of hair during each and every vacuuming session. In contrast the Shark suck up more hair and then collects 99%+ of it in the waste bin, where it belongs. We've found what it can suck up really, really impressive. The Pet (or 'Turbo') brush accessory is good too and picks up cat hairs with ease. Emptying the bin is also easier than any of our other vacuum's. When in lift-off mode the Shark is really good for cleaning the car carpets and boot. We bought the optional extension cleaning hoses for cars and equipment too, which get into all the little nooks and crannies between the seats and around the dashboard. Our cars haven't looked so clean since they were new! The only slight gripes we have with it are that the dust collection bin is not always large enough for a full vacuum of our 4 bed home, and replacement/additional batteries are expensive at almost £100 a pop. But as a cordless upright vacuum that also works well as a temporary handheld, the Shark is a huge success and we're so pleased we bought it.

How have I managed without this Hoover?!! It is amazing, so easy to use even my kids like using it! I’ve had it nearly 2 months and I love how versatile it is and easy to empty and charge. Sure our long hair still gets wrapped around it a bit but is very easy to cut off the roller. My old Hoover didn’t pick up our hair obviously as this one has done the job! My carpets are much better for it. Suction power is great too, always amazed at what it picks up. I must’ve had so much dust in my carpets! Very easy to take apart and the filters are easy to clean and put back. I love that it’s cordless but doesn’t compromise on power. So easy to charge and doesn’t take up much space to store. It was also quieter than I expected. It clips together nicely with no fiddly bits. Very smooth. It’s not heavy either, brilliant for the stairs. I’ve never been much of a fan of hoovering but now I am! I would really recommend this Hoover highly.

This thing is AWESOME!!! Now, I've had 2 different Dysons and a GTech but this Shark is something else!! The GTech would just push small items around the carpet and on a smooth floor, do nothing at all! The Dysons were far too heavy and cumbersome. The Shark cordless is perfect. Its light, easy to move about and a joy to use. The battery life is pretty good...I can do a 2 bedroom bungalow for 4 days before I charge it up (could do 5 days tbh). It all comes apart with ease so you can get under furniture and get to those ceiling corners with ease. It has 2 functions on the grip, carpet and hard flooring and it also has a "boost" button that can be pressed to get up more stubborn items. The boost function comes on automatically when you use the wand. This really is a great machine.

Really easy to assemble and take apart again. Places for separating pieces are clearly marked -definately wins on assembly and disassembly. Instructions were diagrams supported by a brief description all conatained in a thin booklet and all in English. So far I have used my new Shark to clean two groundfloor room, stairs and a bedroom. The position of weight and small head are a suprise at first but feel fine after a bit of practice, it is easy to steer. Ground floor the Shark manaked really well, picking up crumbs and dog fur alike, small amount of people hair it coped with well too. This is the easiest way to do the stairs ever, simply unlock the main unit and handle from upright,put your chosenhead on and away you go, just carry the unit up a couple of steps at a time. Next the bedroom floor. Using the full, upright version, the vacuum cleaned nicely over the main carpet but wasnt too happy on shaggy bedside rugs. The battery very low by now but it has done alot of work. Inspected the anti- hair wrap head and had to cut away my hair so for me this doesnt work, howver, I am overall happy with my purchase at this time.

Getting smaller and lighter - Plenty of accessories to make cleaning different areas easier - Very good suction plus a boost button to kick things up a notch - 50 minutes runtime which is great for household cleaning - Large brush/base can rotate on different axes making it easy to steer and get into tight spaces Been a great purchase for cleaning all parts of the house plus in and around my computer setup (Although I don't advise using a vacuum cleaner on electronics themselves). Would recommend. Plus 5 year warranty (2 years for the battery) when you register it.

Well I have had the shark cordless anti hair wrap a few days now. It took 3 hours to charge and only went down 1 bar out of three to vacuum the tiled hall, kitchen, front room and dining room which are average size. I used the lift away to do the stairs and 2 bedrooms, plus another wizz throught lounge and diner - and we reached 1 bar so charging at this point. The vacuum was an ease to use, lighter then my corded lift away by Shark but no lightweight at 5.5 kg, the battery is quite large and hence the weight. It's amazing getting into places with ease as the head is smaller than its big brother and tilt & turn a breeze. The 3 power settings are great option and for us we didn't really need the power boost which I would think would run the battery down much more quickly. Each time the dust compartment was full after use, easy to empty. It stands on its own which is very helpful. Plus the light on the cleaning head picks up crumbs in its powerful headlight you probably miss if it wasn't there! I am a Shark fan, having had the lift away corded which is heavy and suction is so powerful after 7 years we find it difficult to use - I have arthritis in my shoulders. I have the steam mop that I wouldn't give up for all the tea in China...but this anti hair wrap for us is fantastic and for us 5 star rating for ease of use as well as ability! 5 year parts guarantee makes you feel confident it's a goodun!

Not perfect, but as close to it as I had reasonable groups to expect. Only real disappointment was that I bought it on a sale price, but the non-sale price seems only to be £2 more expensive. The brush attachment is maybe a bit harsh, and I would have preferred a softer brush. Ample battery time for my usage (I am not going to spend anything like 50 minutes vacuuming - I am simply not that house proud). While in use, it generally does a good job, and the pet attachment does great for stairs or other confined spaces (have not tried vacuuming pets with it, so I could not comment on that). When used as a portable (with the liftaway) it is slightly on the heavy side (that was something I had already anticipated, so it was not a surprised), but not too bad, and a reasonable price to pay for all the benefits (larger battery size and larger head) that the weight brings. Dust capacity, like the battery capacity, is more than adequate for my needs, although if you are looking to do a long and in-depth spring clean it might prove less than adequate. Nonetheless, the dust container is very easy to empty, and that was to me more important than its overall capacity. Some of the catches used to separate out the components (e.g. converting it into a portable) are less than intuitive, but once you work it out (in my case, with the assistance of a number of YouTube videos) it is easy enough.

Loved the versatility of it, its modular and can be used in many different ways. Lots of attachments already come with it but you can also buy the car kit which is also great. The fact that it's cordless and lightweight means that's its easy to just pull out the cupboard or wherever you keep it, use it and chuck it back in without worrying about having to pull out the cord, or unwinding it then winding it back up and plugging and unplugging the plug etc. It makes chores light and easy instead of long and laborious.
