Does it work for the charbroil 463251414

Pay attention to the part of the description that says "push button". This unit contains the button that you push to ignite. My Char Broil has a button on the front that activates the spark. This version is different. It works, but not with the front mounted button. One of these days I'll learn to read the whole description before I buy.

I have a master forge 3 burner grill - is it comparable with existing grill wires for the igniters?

I have a 3 burner grill also..... hooked it up to the old wires and it works perfectly.... Took about 30 seconds

I don't think this is four sparks -- I think it's three sparks and a ground. If this is four sparks, where does the ground connect?

I have three main burners and a separate side burner, and it works flawlessly. Connect each wire to each of the terminals at the burners. The ground is through the body of the grille itself. Make sure when you mount the ignition module that the area is clean dry and has a good contact point.

Will this igniter work on a members mark model y0101xc?

It worked on my 4 burner Members Mark. Where did you find the model #? I'm trying to replace the fourth burner which is for the chip smoking box and can't find it...

Does not fit exactly like original

Setup was relatively easy but did not position the same as the original. Also wires show somewhat but in fairness it was probably my inexperience. Ignition works great.

Superior OEM replacement

I own a very nice Vermont Castings grill, with the only sore-spot being the original igniter. It was poorly designed, with a very weak mounting system, questionable electronics, and used a wimpy AAA battery that never failed to leak care of the inferior design. After a little bit of grinding with my Dremel to enlarge the mounting hole, this unit slipped right in and worked perfectly. Solid design, with an actual plastic nut that will stay in place. Extremely good value.
