IT would not block any viruses on my new HP 17" ENVY

This product is a rip off. Installed it on PC with Windows 10 operating. Took forever to finally get the download. Never could get the antivirus to turn on. Technical support was useless. Told me there was a problem with my internet connection which was not true. I finally uninstalled the program after several days of getting no customer service assistance. Not a happy customer with this purchase.

I chose Vipre because it got high marks on multiple IT professional blogs or discussion boards. I bought directly from Vipre and installed in January with confidence. In January Windows Defender detected a virus. I thought to myself, how could that be? Vipre has been running for weeks. This month Windows Defender repetitively popped up so I did a full scan with Vipre even though Vipre automatically did a full scan a few days earlier. Concerned because one of the viruses was in a category of 'password stealer' I downloaded a trial copy of Bitdefender AntiVirus Plus (BAP. BAP found 78 threats in the Temp folder and has blocked many anti-phishing websites. I'm no expert and don't have time to go any deeper in my analysis but I can tell you with certainty that my PC is running faster, web pages loading faster, and I haven't gotten any DNS address errors associated with popular sites that are normally never down. I would not buy Vipre and would steer people to Bitdefender.

The initial reaction to product is awesome by only time will tell

Easy to install, working great, and I appreciate the one time charge. I am very frustrated with the "renewal" every year for some security software.

This is only a 30 day trial virus protection. Now they want to charge me again and only good for 1 year. It advertised as lifetime protection.
