Worked well to install new ceiling fans into old boxes

Worked like a charm for adapting my smaller ceiling box to a 4" diameter ceiling fan bracket. The kit comes with 2 adapters, 4 screws, and even some twist wire connectors. I simply mounted the adapter under my ceiling's drywall and screwed it into the existing box. The plate sits snugly and firm once installed. I hung a 17 lb 52" diameter ceiling fan from it without any problems. There is a very very slight wiggle forward and back unless you mount the 4" bracket screws in a cross cross patern (perpendicular to the 3" screw placement) for best results.

The original swivel "X" type of mount had become loose on my outdoor light fixture. After looking through some videos, I saw a use of this type of mount. No moving parts means nothing will come loose. It comes with screws that fit the screw holes to fit most gang boxes. This was the solution to my problem.

Fit properly

Adapter plate worked great. I have a very old house with old junction boxes and this plate allowed me to mount a modern ceiling fan without much issue at all. Also, is should be noted that the holes in the plate are pre-threaded, so you don’t have to tap them in the event you need (like me) to screw bolts up into the plate (just need to drill clearance in the wall/ceiling for the bolts).

What I liked best was that this type of ring was not available at any of the big box stores. I would have been unable to install a fan had I not purchased this type as the wobble was severe. Due to thick stucco which inset the ceiling box by 1/2 inch from the ceiling surface, I needed this to solidify the base.

PEESIN 2 Pack Ceiling Fan Adapter Plate, Universal 4 Inch Ceiling Light Mounting Bracket worked for mounting on 4" pancake style metal junction box and was the only one I found available to do the job of aligning mounting screws with lighting fixture keyhole slots. The mounting bracket flexes and bends easily, wobbly supporting an 11lb, 4ft light fixture. You'd definitely want to secure the ends of the fixture to have confidence in stability. The mounting screws have soft, small heads that barely hold in the keyhole slots and easily stripped by hand tightening. I used two, more solid, truss head #8-32 screws that worked perfectly.

I hung a Hunter ceiling fan with this on an angled ceiling. The task would have been impossible without something like this. The original box was very shallow and of smaller width than the fan mount. The fan kit came with long screws to screw directly into a truss or other wood but because a specific side of the fan mount needed to be on the "up" side of the slope, there was no where to screw the long wood screws into. With this bracket though, I was able to easily mount this bracket to the shallow box and the mount the fan at an appropriate angle onto the bracket. Worked perfectly and absolutely no wobble in the ceiling fan.
