Real Deal Toshiba, can't go wrong with Bojack.
The one I received are all the real deal Toshiba 2SC5200 and 2SA1949. I have used only two sets so far and they work a little better than I expected then I tested all I had remaining with a multimeter they all checked good. I also installed one of the 2SA1949,s into a Anytime at-6666 as an upgrade for the AM regulator and the 2sc1949 did exactly as intended, Upgrade.

Fake, counterfeits. Failed all tests.
Counterfeit [IMO] Failed miserably. I am now testing all incoming parts! NPN were not well matched IMHO >20% (I think within 10% or better is considered well matched) Both NPN and PNP fell way short of specified voltage ratings. (transistors normally exceed voltage ratings by a wide margin). Both NPN and PNP suffered secondary breakdown at only a fraction of rated parameters! Both NPN and PNP have inferior heat tab material. (probably about 1/5 the heat transfer capacity of OEM). Here are my results: hfe; PNP 120-125, NPN 90-110 (~>20%) [measured all] Secondary Breakdown failure: Both NPN and PNP shorted @ <2.5A @ <25V (<2 seconds). Failed at medium voltage and current not even close to the secondary breakdown limit area of the SOA chart! [tested one of each] Vceo: Both failed voltage tests; PNP @ 135V. NPN @ 185V. [tested one of each] I did not check them at 15A. No point in going any further if they are failing these tests. I took a chance because of conflicting reviews, allowing for novices that don't understand SOA limitations, and under time pressure. Very disappointed. I am repairing two professional sub-woofers that utilize ±95VDC unregulated supplies. Allowing for line voltage tolerance and possible remote generator operation, and a decent safety margin; they need to withstand 200V+ in operation plus a safety factor. They are marginally designed to begin with, and cannot tolerate replacements not meeting the minimum ratings of the originals. (These are the original part numbers, I was not substituting when I ordered these). Do not buy these, Regards, Mr KL
