I LOVED Double Wear years ago, it was my holy grail foundation. I stopped wearing foundation for a while when I got more focused on skincare, but recently decided to get back into makeup a bit. I’ll admit, I was hesitant to try the reformulated version since my skin is combination (leans oily) and can be acne-prone. But this is just as good as I remember, maybe even better. It truly stays put all day. No transferring onto clothes, no sliding around, and it doesn’t settle weirdly into pores. There’s zero cakiness, which is impressive considering the coverage. It gives that smooth, even look without feeling heavy. I apply it with a damp beauty blender over my moisturizer, and it blends flawlessly. It really looks like my skin, just more even toned and polished. I’m so glad I gave this a try again. It makes my skin look more even-toned and a little more youthful, which is exactly what I was hoping for. I’d definitely recommend it, especially if you have normal-to-oily skin and want something long wearing that still looks natural.

New formula is great. Does what it promises. It is much thinner and a bit tacky but then it goes away when it settles down, it does give you a blur affect when it settles/dries down and it definitely closes your pores and plumps your skin. It is not as drying as the original formula. The color is the same, although there’s just a slight very slight difference. ORIGINAL: Brighter masks color and not hydrating NEW: Brighter second skin looking and softer, hydrates and plumps. That’s the only difference. AS YOU CAN SEE IN PICS PICK A: My pores are open and I just applied one thin coat. Best place to test is the nose where the light hits the most and if it blends with your cheek tone, then it’s for you. PICK B: it has settled in and dried. Pores are closed, blur affect has kicked in. Skin feels hydrated. BEST PART IS THE FOUNDATION IS FLEXIBLE AND MOVES WITH YOUR SKIN, AS WELL IT DOES NOT SETTLE INTO WRINKLES or MRIONETTE LINES or AROUND SMILE MOUTH LINES or EYE WRINKLES. Truly stays in place and it doesn’t budge. Order your original shade you will notice a slight very slight difference, but it’s still the same good quality as far as pigmentation and in fact, although it is thinner, it is buildable and pigmented very well. Buy it you won’t regret it. It’s the best foundation. For reference, I am 60 years old, use 3W2 Cashew and have been using Estée Lauder for many, many years. It is still top-notch number one foundation out there.

The best foundation I’ve ever owned, I have to many bottles in stock right now 😂 . It lasts me about a month and a half , and I use it everyday. It’s full coverage, I don’t have to redo my makeup later in the day, it stays on during hot days- it’s very natural looking, & it’s a buildable foundation.

I can’t believe I found the perfect color and foundation! Now that I’m in my 40’s nothing seemed to work and just settled into fine lines. This stuff is seriously like a second skin. I even can wear it as a matte under eye concealer since the stuff I was using made it too shiny. It’s an absolute dream in a bottle. I have olive skin and purchased 2w2 Rattan just based off online pictures a review and a guess and it’s my perfect shade! It actually makes me look younger and I don’t have to wash my face and reapply at the end of the day after work like my other stuff. Just try it!

I was surprised I really love this updated version. Original formula fell into lines on more mature skin, felt too matte. New version feels more moisturizing, doesn’t fall into lines, more 2nd skin look! And lasts all day!!! And Sephora new color match is perfect, I suggest to go get color matched.!!! Now just need a good concealer that doesn’t fall into lines?!

I have been using DoubleWare for decades and decades, I recently switched to Estee Lauder futurist for during the day because of the SPF and it’s lighter coverage, easy to remove, it took me a minute to get used to the Dewey finish, but I really like it. But for special occasions, going out at night, etc. I use the new formula double wear every time I do my husband tells me oh you look really good today, babe. Excellent coverage not as drying and mind settling as old formula stayed with my same color Dawn and it was just as good if not, better match very happy. for reference I am 76 years old.

Great coverage and it stays on all day. Down side to it is that it’s very tacky and sticky if you do not put lots of finishing powder on. I did learn not to put moisturizer on before applying. It makes the makeup cake on your face.

TERRIBLE! The “new” formula is awful. I would love a replacement with the original formula. Please send a replacement. The new formulas oxidizes like crazy, stays tacky all day, and is not full coverage. It is advertised as “buildable” but if you try, it is patchy and looks terrible. I have used the original formula for 10 years.
