Not just for surgery!
I originally purchased these 12-inch locking hemostats to help with limited bending and grip strength, and they have turned out to be an incredibly practical solution. The extra length makes it easy to reach shoes and socks without leaning forward, and the locking ratchet holds securely without requiring constant hand pressure. They grip firmly enough to pull out a stubborn sneaker tongue or adjust clothing, yet the adjustable clicks allow for gentler handling of delicate items. For seniors or anyone with mobility, balance, or dexterity challenges, these are far more effective than standard grabbers. As an unexpected bonus, theyโve also proven useful in the kitchen for retrieving items in a narrow jar, holding something steady while glueing or repairing, or grabbing objects in tight spaces. At just $12.99 for two, they are an inexpensive tool that truly makes everyday tasks easier.

Effective amigurumi stuffing tool
As an amigurumi crocheter, I received a tip to buy some hemostats for stuffing long, thin pieces like dragon tails. I thought it was kind of silly, but I decided to give it a try. I probably could have gone with a shorter size, but I decided to err on the 12" side of things for the really long tails on some of my projects.I'm glad I ordered these. They give me more control of smooth filling without overstuffed chunks with them than with my usual stuffing stick/chopstick method.I have never used hemostats before, so I don't have anything to compare these with. They came a bit stiff and didn't want to open at first, but after using a few times it became smoother. They seem to be good quality and they have a good grip.

A crimping, clamping, gripping forceps
These really were crucial to my recent work on my valve covers (replacement) and in my oil paint tranfers to empty tubes. The straight forceps were used to roll the ends of the tubes to create a rolled seal. I also used them to help grasp difficult areas of the wiring harnesses to pull them out of the working space in my truck. They are easy to use and clamp. The length was enough to reach the back of the hood. The tip has great strength and I pinched the rolled area of the paint tube to seal. I think they were worth the money.
