Honest Review - AMAZING WATCH!
- Background - I'm a 17 year old male who recently had a desire to get a watch. First place I checked was my grandpa because I had no idea which brands to look at. My grandpa owned several brands but his best watch was a Fossil. - Research - I spent a couple hours across the span of a few days researching many analog watches. I mostly looked at $20-60 watches, and all of them had terrible reviews. I found some trends with these cheap watches, they all had false advertising for water ratings and their bands were either faux leather or had weak pins in their links. Most of them didn't last their owner longer than half a year. > So I thought, why spend $40 on a watch that lasts maybe a year-- at best--when I can spend twice the amount for a watch that lasts way longer and looks a ton better too. - Metal Band - The metal band is really nice in person. Everyone says the watch in total [with band] is kind of heavy, but I have say [and I have a small wrist], it was NOT heavy at all. Keep in mind, this is my VERY first watch so maybe the other reviewers were comparing to their smaller lighter watches. - Watch Face - Most people here are disappointed that the blue accents on the smaller dials in the watch face aren't pronounced enough, but I haven't seen that as a problem. If you get a decent light ray on the watch you'll see the nice blue accents at the exact color that is shown in the product pictures. The side buttons and crown aren't big and annoying: something I thought might have been a problem. I assure you this watch is amazing. - Sizing - Some people here are disappointed about "having to get a new band" because the links are too big to make an actual adjustment. I don't understand where they're coming from because when I went to my local jeweler, she was able to take the right amount of links off and adjust the closest link to the clasp [there are 3 adjustable pin spots for the link closest to the clasp on each side] which proved to help fine tuning the adjustment [I had taken 3 links out because my wrist was a bit small]. The jeweler instilled in me that the watch may have to fall loosely over my wrist [where the carpal (or the big round bone thingy) is]. This was not the case, I was easily able to adjust the band to the perfect size even for my smaller wrist. - Conclusion - All in all, this watch is f'ing amazing. Since you've clicked on this watch, that means you've shown a little interest in it. Which means you are hesitant to buying it but would still consider it. STOP CONSIDERING AND ORDER IT ALREADY! Fossil watches are amazing and I'm glad I got this one for my first watch ever! [ Might update in a couple months to a year to let you know how well it holds up. ] [ Also will try to upload some good looking pictures and not from a 5 megapixel flip recorder lol. ] Definitely 5/5.

Great watch
This is my second fossil watch and I am very pleased with the quality, comfort and design of the watch. The watch looks great and has a good weight to it, at least for me. Out of all the watch that I have owned my Fossil watches look the best and feel the best when I wear them. I really like the black steel band and black face with little blue dials. At first I was a little cautious about this watch because I am a big guy and some watches don't fit well on my wrist. As soon as I put the watch on I knew this was my daily watch; it fits very well and has room to move around on my wrist.

Good watch, very poor instructions
I bought this watch mainly for looks as I wanted a black one for daily use, something to bang around so I can leave my dress watches at home. I also wanted something simple, not fan of web connected watches as they hold little utility for me. If I want to use apps, I might as well reach for my phone. I've owned/own other Fossil watches and I am happy with the bang for the buck and continue to be fan of the brand. This watch feels a touch on the cheap side, the band and the dial are just a little off. Don't know how to explain, just the material feel. The watch comes in a case, with no manual, which was strange. Fossil's site shows "one manual fits all" which has me utterly confused as to what some of the controls on this watch do. Fossil basically gives you one big pdf and you have to recognize exactly what type of watch you have and hope that you get it right. They provide by model selection and the instructions are minimal at best. This timepiece could do with better customer support. As it is the manual is next to useless. I think it has a chronometer which seems to be a mess to start/stop with the two side buttons as I am not sure what I am doing. The 3 little inside dials are not well explained and I intend to ask for further explanation as to their use/control as it is very badly covered in the manual. Manual doesn't cover band sizing at all, which is baffling as I've bought several aftermarket bands that cover installation and sizing, but Fossil leave it a guesswork. Mine is a little loose so I'll have to do some trial and error to get it right. The watch is a bit on the heavy side, which for a men's watch for OK.

Feels more expensive than it is.
The case and bracelet on this watch both feel substantial. There is a good weight and the overall package just feels expensive. The craftsmanship is excellent at this price. The looks of the watch, as with all watches is something you either like or you don’t. It looks very racey to me, a cool watch for a very guy. The chrono only does whole seconds so it’s not good for much but it’s looks cool. Overall I’m very happy with this watch. I actually owned the same one about 10 years ago but I got it used with the rubber strap (which is also decent). I’m glad I was able to still find it new.
