Great headlamp for serious work
We're dog mushers in Alaska and use a headlamp for various things about 8 months out of a year. We've used cheapo and not-so-cheapo lamps over the last few years and this is hands down our favorite so far. Simple controls that are easy to operate with gloves on. Good battery life even in sub-zero temps. The light beam has a slightly blueish tint to it that I think improves definition. Easy to go from wide flood to tight spotlight by just rotating the light housing. Wide flood is wide, and spot is tight and focused. You can easily see beyond the lead dogs on a large team. Charges quickly and I like the idea of being able to use readily available AA batteries instead of the battery pack in a pinch. I don't think the light is too heavy at all. Rear mounted battery pack is nice so you can pull up your hood and keep your battery warm when it's really cold out, and comes with an extension so that you could carry the battery in your pocket if you wanted to. Highly recommended! UPDATE 11/25. GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE! Still love these headlamps. Had the charging port on one go bad and contacted customer service to see if they had just the battery housing. They responded within 24 hours and sent me the part immediately. Fantastic!!

Rebuying
I've owned these lights for years. I dropped my last set into some nastiness so bought another. Powerful, comfortable to wear, long battery before recharge.

Best headlamp for the value!
I’ve had multiple dog mushers tell me to get this headlamp and they were right! Best value for your money. Bright, adjustable beam, long rechargeable battery life, can switch out with standard batteries, super easy to use even in extreme cold and dark. I’ve know many mushers to use this light during races including the Yukon Quest and Iditarod. My only complaint is if you bump the back battery pack you may turn on the back light unknowingly ( especially if it’s put in a bag for storage while not using) thus depleting the battery…and it’s a bit heavy for taking out the trash, walking the dog or backpacking. Better than the $300 Black Diamond I lost or the $400 Petzl that broke. This is the light to get, will get the job done. I’ve given many as gifts over the years and keep on charged in my emergency bag for “just in case” situations.

Very bright, but broken.
The overall product quality appears to be very good, however, I think I was just unfortunate enough to receive a broken unit. Some of the plastic screw holes used to attach the light to the headset cracked and the lamp is falling out. I still want to give this product a positive review because the product feels so solid, so my experience was probably (hopefully) a fluke. The light is VERY bright, and fairly comfortable. Despite its weight, I believe I could jog with it on. I'm excited to exchange this product and I think it is a worthy purchase, assuming my exchange goes well... Should be great for jogging/biking/camping. At first the configurations seem a little confusing, but once you figure it out it is so easy. I'll explain it the way I wish they explained it to me: - There are two power modes, normal and energy saving. To switch between them turn the headlamp off, then tap the power button 8 times (Do this quickly, you can't pause in between taps. The light will flash as you tap) then fully click in the button. If you changed it to the energy saving mode the light will turn on, then slowly dim off. If you changed it to the regular mode, it will turn on, then turn off abruptly. - There are 3 lighting configurations. These control what tapping the power button will do when the light is on. They essentially allow you to change the way you cycle through brightness and blinking modes. Turn the light off, then tap 4 times (again do this quickly, the light will flash when you tap), then fully press down the button. The light will then blink either 1, 2, or 3 times to tell you which mode you are on.

Any battery type, long lasting and worth every penny
I use this headlamp to fish on shore and have gone through over 15 $100 headlamps, I like the fact you have use double AA, triple AAA, and larger batteries for it and it’s rechargeable. It also is heavy but the battery pack has an extension to hang else wear or on my hat not the elastic band. It’s bright, could be brighter for me but I’m blind at night. Definitely worth it. Unfortunately I received this one and it wasn’t working but purchased one at cabelas

Works great so far. Did not come charged so have to charge first. Read directions on adjusting. Worn as a work headlight in early morning job on golf course from 5am until sun rise.

Recieved from Photon store, New, open box, ...
Recieved from Photon store, New, open box, saved $24, 3 modes 10006hr/35012hr/6035hr, the 1000 boost only lasts 30secs and returns to previous and hold for 3secs and returns to 1000 boost repeat, very powerful, the 350 mode seems brighter perhaps 400 lumens as compared to my metro 360 cyglolite, has dimming rotating knob on back(nice), came with extra battery too (lucked out), probably could hook to powerbank with https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01APR8G5S/?coliid=I1X2JA0BD4EVEU&colid=YMDDK081Y2MP&psc=0&ref_=lv_ov_lig_dp_it, the plug to light is female stereo mini plug with 4 black lines. No need with all the hours with this 4400mah dual Li-ion battery, a little $$$ but think worth it seems quality, the lens is push/pull for wide and narrow beam, also can purchase R/B/G filters $6.
