Just what I needed!
We are so pleased with this. We go through a little more than 2 gallons of water a day (this is a 2.5 gallon container). Before, we were filling up 2 large pitchers with water (filtered from our Culligan faucet filter) and putting them in the refrigerator because we like nice cold water. This slimline container makes refilling the water much easier for me. For one, I only fill it up once a day (before I go to bed). When I refill it, I do not take the slimline container out of the refrigerator. I use my old water pitcher, fill the water up at my faucet and then pour the water into the slimline container (which again, stays inside the refrigerator). I think that will help keep down the wear and tear on the slimline container by not moving it too much. We did have to initially adjust the spout because it leaked at first. I think most people having a problem with leaks need to tighten the spout better and make sure the collar ring and the spout piece align. Also, every morning, I unscrew the top cover all the way. Just enough so that a little air can get in to make the water flow stronger. The only other thing I would mention is that you need to make sure that it isn't hanging over your shelf too far out because it can cause your refrigerator to not shut all the way. We hang it just far enough to get a rim underneath and I think I even had to adjust the shelf height at first because it was hitting something on our door. Lastly, I love this slimline container because we drink a lot of water, my younger children can easily get water for themselves and I was tired of laboring over my kitchen faucet, filling our old water pitchers ALL DAY LONG. So now I can just sit around and sip nice cold water and watch the clouds roll by.

Best available product of its kind, but eventually has issues with leaking at the seams.
This product empty is very lightweight, holds 2.5 gallons of water. Each gallon of water weighs 8 pounds, so once full, this container weighs about 20 pounds. A significant amount of water to support in such a light weight container so not surprising that eventually the seams will give out. We have a water ionizer and use these containers to house ionized drinking water in our refrigerator. The manufacturer is very nice and has sent free replacement water nozzles when they have on occasion leaked and also gave us the ability to order extra nozzles at a reasonable cost to have on hand. Our only complaint is we wish there was someway to make these containers a little sturdier so that they would last longer than they do. The good news is that when they do leak while they create a small puddle in our refrigerator they have never leaked to the extent that water permeated everything so the mess was contained. Still these are the best available until someone comes up with a better design. We have been using these containers year round for the past 10 years so for the most part they work fairly well. Amazon was very accommodating when we once experienced a breach in the seam less than 6 months later and replaced them for free. Thank you Amazon for the excellent customer service.

Don’t waste your money, leaking within 2 months!
It’s been 2 months of use and it has a split in it! Had just filled with drink mix last night and woke up to find it leaked through to the floor under the fridge and down into our basement! This was more expensive than some that we have had in the past, thought it would be better quality! Don’t waste your money it’s not worth it! Very disappointed!

Suction issues fixed! Very affective space-saving shape.
Good overall. Adequately designed and works appropriately for what it is. Definitely has suction issues during pouring (air must replace the displacement left by the exiting beverage from the spout). Toward the end of pouring a 16oz liquid the flow decreases to literally an annoying trickle. YES this can be fixed by unscrewing the top lid, however in my experience I have to screw it almost completely off. Fix: create a 1 mm (approximately 1/16 inch) hole in the front-top of the container. A small drill bit can be used. I used a wood screw because I was too lazy to go into the garage. Why front-top? Because this allows you to fill the container maximally AND to carry vertically by the handle without leaking. Refer to the picture. Why 1 millimeter hole? To keep potential leaking to a minimum. Importantly, I experimented and filled a 1 quart container while holding the spout in the maximum flow position. There was NO decrease in flow during the entire pour. No trickle. My control was repeating the same with the lid completely off. The flow rate was exactly the same... Hence a hole this small is affective. I personally had no issues with leaking but I took off the spout and applied Teflon tape as others had. Why not ... it's easy and took me 1 minute. Yes. The dimensions are just about perfect for my standard fridge. I would definitely measure first before buying. There is no question this maximizes space very efficiently based on the "book-like" shape. Added bonus: the dimensional surface-area to volume ratio is high, therefore your beverage cools faster in your fridge than a standard cylinder shape container (ie a pitcher). Build: seems fine to me. I know others have issues. It is a brittle type of plastic as opposed to a Tupperware type plastic. Hope this helps!

Primary I use these for collection of distilled water. The height and capacity is perfect for use with the distiller. The faucet is of convenient use.
