I eat 1/2 avocado a day, and it's about the only thing I use plastic wrap for in day-to-day stuff so I was looking for a way to stop using the plastic. I got this after reading reviews from a bunch of containers. You have take the pit out of the half being kept - but that's OK. This thing works! It's a bit fidgety opening & closing correctly, but nothing that makes it hard to use, I just line it up. I don't always eat the other half the next day. I think the longest I've gone so far is 3 days and the avocado was nicely preserved, it looked like it had only been in there a day. And if you eat them as much as I do, you'll know every avocado is different and how fast it will deteriorate depends on that mighty scale of ripeness it silently goes through. I've used this container for several avocados now and have no complaints. I don't know if the stretchy top can hold up to a dishwasher so I only put the base in and I handwash the top if I need. Heck that's always just going against avocado skin so I admit I haven't always washed the top, I just reuse it the next day. The other plus, because this requires taking the pit out and sits flat, I can actually chuck it anywhere in my fridge now instead of balancing a rounded half avocado on top of something.

These food savers work great to help the food stay fresh, but don’t get too rough or the rubber portion will rip out. Other than that we would purchase again if needed.

I wish I would have seen the review with the pic I would NOT have bought this. Took almost a month to receive and its very disappointing. Finding out this product is from china is another HUGE let down I would not have bought this. First off the avocado cover is missing and the onion cover was already opened and they sent it to me anyway. I also read a review that the a avocado cover is the only one to match the photo however i cannot compare since it wasn't included. Its so frustrating that the onion keeper is not even close to the picture, it is hard to fit even a small onion I had to waste extra time manipulating it to close over the onion and air will still get to it. I tested it with an onion overnight and myobion looks worse than it did when i took it out of the ziplock bag i had it in. Bad business practice! All the photos for these types of items are misleading needless to say I’m returning this garbage. I don’t like being mislead at all, check my video I spent 10 minutes last night just trying to stretch/manipulate the cover over my onion and it does not stay in place without said manipulation. I took the video this morning and you can see that it won’t completely cover it like the photo in the ad. Too time consuming for me what a waste.

The tomato, lemon, and onion holders have all been working well. The thin membrane stretches easily over the fruit/veggie half and is easy to screw together. The holders keep things fresh for a few days until we can finish up the food item. As for the avocado holder, they need to go back to the drawing board. Because it's a different shape, it does not screw together; it's supposed to slide and click, which it does not do well. In addition, that particular holder does not keep the avocado fresh enough, even if used the next day. I do think buying the set has been worth it for three out of the four savers.

I like the Joie vegetable keepers. I have onion, tomato, & avocado. They keep my vegs better than wrapping in plastic wrap or storing in a ziplock.

I doesn't do what is says it does. My avocados turned brown overnight, even with a squirt of lemon juice. You also have to remove the pit from the avocado, because you cannot properly close the lid. The pit allows the avocado to slide around and it's impossible to lock it down. I'll just buy smaller avocados and plan on using the whole thing,, rather than trying to store part of a larger one.

A little tricky to open it for the first time, but I really like that it will save all of the half avocados my grandkids leave out which is a money saver.

Arrived quickly. Glad I finally purchased this product. It has been keeping my avocado half airtight and from turning brown.

Great little thing keep your onions fresh for awhile without stinking at your fridge. Would recommend.

Bought this product for my Mum as she lives alone and only seems to eat half of everything so thought this would help her store them more hygienically in her fridge. I have a set of these myself and use them all the time. Looks neater in the fridge and saves on cling film. Washes well - I’ve had my quite a while now and they are as good as new. Would definitely recommend

Only one of the set looks anything like the picture and thats the Avocado. The other three are basically white transparent looking plastic. If you can't send the set you advertise you should let us know and give us the opportunity to amend or cancel the order. Such an enormous waste of time and very long delivery time. Wont order again.
