Is there a way to protect a recording from being deleted if something happens

You can lock these files. It can be done via the small lock button on the screen.

Where do i put the red cable that is attached to the camera end of the reverse camera? Its just a wire with no attachment on the end

Thanks for contacting. You can connect the red wire of the rear cable to the positive pole of your car's reversing light, then it will show reversing line when you reverse. You can leave the red wire there if your car ahs its own reversing system Hope my answer is useful to you. If there is anything we can help with, please let us know. Have a nice day! Wolfbox

Yes I believe it is. My auto electrician thought the cameras were high quality.

Is there an option to mount this without using the rubber bands - to use the existing rear mirror mount instead and remove the existing mirror??

Hi,It's better not. Our mirror dash cam doesn't have a bracket and needs to be fixed with rubber straps. Thank you.
