Tres Agaves Margarita Mix, 33.8 Fl Oz Bottle

This is my favorite margarita mix, and I've tried lots. It's a little pricey, but I just stock up when there's a good sale.

Tres Agaves is the fifth commercial margarita mix I have tried. It definitely beats Mr & Mrs T, Cuervo, and even my previous favorite, Kirkland -- although nothing matches my homemade mix when I get it right. Tres Agaves uses natural ingredients, like my homemade mix, and even uses agave syrup instead of sugar (which I used in my own mix). The subtle flavors are an improvement over the artificial flavors used in most mixes. While most mixes require 3-4 parts mix to 1 part tequila, Tres Agaves only needs 1.5:1; in fact, since I like to taste the tequila, I have used it at 1:1. This is the first commercial margarita mix I have tried that allows the flavors of a good Reposado tequila to come through (at least, at 1:1), rather than hiding them with its sugar, yet also complements a strong Plata. Tres Agaves is now my go-to mix, and is much more reliable bottle to bottle than my homemade! Update: my wife likes this mix at least as well as my homemade version!

I don't care as much about calories or natural vs. chemical. I care about taste. This is the best tasting margarita mix I've ever had and I've had a lot. When mixed with good tequila, I'll compare it to a "perfect patron" margarita at On The Border. If you follow the mix ratios exactly it's like drinking a fine wine. The tequila stands out, yet it's balanced perfectly with the lime which is mellowed by the lightly sweet agave nectar. This mix doesn't hide the tequila, it accentuates it. Of course it's a good side benefit that this mix is made from natural ingredients and relatively low in calories. The only down side I can think of is how quickly your BAC rises when seemingly relaxingly enjoying these!

The mix is excellent! The cost is double what it is in the store.

Prior to this product, I had used Long Branch mm exclusively. Regrettably, the Long Branch brand has been discontinued. This being said, this Tres Ava is very best mix I've ever had. -An easy double thumbs up. Since I only use the very top of the line silver tequilas (.i.e Padron Silver or Don Julio blanca, -both of which run close to $60.00 per fifth, It's imperative that you use a super-premium tequila mix. This one is the the real McCoy. The lovely and subtle flavors of those very pricey ultra-premium silver tequilas will not be buried but, elegantly complemented with this Tres Agaves brand. :)

I'm a displaced Texan living in Africa and needed a good margarita mix shipped over. I had never tried this before leaving the US, but man what an absolute treat this was. This is the best margarita mix on the market, the best flavor, the best texture. I'm serious about my margaritas and I can tell you this is the best. I don't like those super lime heavy margaritas, but I also don't like the sugar heavy ones. This is a super flavorful margarita that isn't too heavy on lime or sugar. My only regret is buying just 2 bottles!! I'll be buying this by the case next time.

This is the absolute best margarita mix I have ever tried, bar none. Too many times, margarita mix has a salt water taste or a bland taste that doesn't work for a margarita. This has such a natural sweetness to it from the agave and it's the perfect amount of sweet to sour ratio. Best margaritas I've ever had now that we've been using this exclusively. We put with tequila and then top with a splash of dark coconut rum and then salt the rim with margarita salt. Amazing!
