Works fine with WD Green 256gb ssd. 300-350MBs. Also cheaper and easier disc swap than an enclosure.

these are fine for SSD but cannot supply enough current for spinning traditional rust drives.

Use these with Raspberry Pis (3B) as they are low current. I have two working 24/7 accessing the internet and writing to MySQL databases every 15 minutes and accessing digital sensors frequently. Not an arduous task but requires reliability. Not a murmur over two years.

This works wonderfully and does exactly what it says on the tin. I have an old Black Magic camera that still uses 2.5 SS D’s . However, my laptop currently only has USB c on it. So now I can plug it in without a dongle on the go and copy everything off very fast. Would definitely recommend And could even save you some money instead of buying enclosed hard drives. You can buy 2.5 SSD hard drives and when you need to use them just plugging into this, you just need to keep them covered in a drawer. Great for cold storage
