Quality purchase
These lights were installed on a 1997 Toyota Tacoma. Big improvement from the 35W OE lights to now running 55/60W. I would say obviously the brightness is much more but how much wider the spread is to cover the sides of the road and on the bright setting the visibility is extended greatly. Glad I pulled the trigger. Install was easy overall but for my truck in particular be ready to order some plastic locking tabs(eBay) for re-installing the grill.

great for older vehicles
great upgrade for older cars and trucks.. if you install higher watt bulbs than original make sure you upgrade wiring to handle extra load and install with relays for seemless lighting on your adventures

Very happy to have purchased these headlamps
I installed these on a 1986 Toyota pickup 6 months ago using the 60/55watt bulbs. Every time I drive at night I am so impressed with the beam pattern. They provide a vastly improved cut off which does provide more light where it is needed. However - they did need a bit of adjustment to take advantage of their superior beam pattern. The beam pattern is notably wider - particularly on high beam. High beam also simply reaches out down the road. Great for seeing critters. The sharp cut off does not illuminate above the hood line at low beam setting. This is very helpful when driving in rain, fog or snow. Low beam lighting is nice with 55 watts. I would not mind having a bit higher wattage output on high beam. Seems there is never enough light on high beam here in Michigan with all of the deer and other critters out on the roads.

Nothing special
not brighter than stock I really see no difference I get it same wattage . I guess now I can upgrade the bulb or replace the just bulb that is nice not to have to take the grill off. I put on a 96 tacoma I watched a video of someone installing them on a 95 tacoma I'm sure you have watched it , the 96 has 6 clips one the bottom of the grill they were a pain to get loose. For the price they should come with 30/90 watt bulbs

Great Lights & Easy to Swap Out
As easy to install as replacing the old sealed beam headlights. The improvement in night visibility is beyond my expectations! I am thrilled with these Hella reflectors and even the bulbs that come with them are good. Can’t wait to see what a new wiring harness can do and upgraded bulbs, too. I have these on a 2001 Chevy Express, which rides pretty tall, and the cut off for these lights is just right for me to see and doesn’t seem to bother oncoming drivers at all, and with the high beams on, I can see into next week... Wow.

Great headlamps!
Great Headlights! Euro Code headlights are far superior to DOT headlamps in terms of glare reduction for on-coming drivers as well as vastly improved illumination for the driver of the vehicle they are installed in. The DOT standard is based on a VERY old and outdated notion of what headlamps should do, so, don't even think twice about upgrading to these. The only caveat is that after installation, one needs to aim these carefully according to the manufacturer's specs, as they put out a lot of light, and getting lazy or sloppy about the aiming process is going to make you a real pain in the ass to other drivers. So, make sure you get this last step correct...

Great for off-road in the desert
E-code is great for off-road in the desert. All the light is directed down where you need it and not up in the sky. Works great in the desert. You might want the DOT that puts light upwards if you're in the mountains or forest, you'd have to try it to see what works best for you. In the desert where it's relatively flat it works great and with a high watt bulb you have good vision out a quarter of a mile. The same bulb with the DOT glass puts enough light upwards that the vision is barely half the distance. That's my experience from using DOT and E-code one after the other over the same course.
