Perfect - Cool - Safe!
Mislead by all the reviews. I was so worried about the size and the zipper breaking that I almost bought the six foot size which would've been way too long. I read how difficult a time everyone was having putting this rail grip in place. It arrived on time and I immediately read the instructions - couldn't be any easier. I measured the grip to the rail for size and placement - so far so good. Then I proceeded with step one - stretch it to make it more pliable - I actually over stretched it making it really loose. I wet it and the rail and it went on so easy - it zipped up like a loose windbreaker - no tugging - no sticking - no problem. I even unzipped it - took it off - turned it around so the zipper tab was on the bottom instead of the top of the rail. Again - very easy - no problem. After the grip dried on the rail it tightened up nice and snug. Not sure what the fuss was about with other reviewers. It looks nice, feels nice and will keep us from burning our hands in the Las Vegas heat. I highly recommend this product for your pool rail.

Happy with product. Easy install and does as intended.
Community pool uses these. Survives constant use and Florida heat/sun. Good enough for them, good enough for me. Followed directions of other users (I soaked grip over night and had another pair of hands helping). Maybe took 5 minutes to install. Looks good and does what it's intended to do.

was for a gift
they said it was very easy to install, wet and zip. They love it said it's very helpful..but it did fade to about a baby blue in just 2 months. Still provides what it suppose to but does not hold color

Excellent and a perfect fit
Excellent and a perfect fit. It zips on. I am one old man with arthritic hands and was able to zip it on in about 10 minutes with no help. If you have a second person to help that will get it on much faster. I got the 4' length .High quality. This ONE PIECE for one railingCouldn't be more pleased with my purchase. BTW The Amazon price for this was 75% LESS than any of my local pool supply places.A real bargain. EDIT-one year later. It's been on for a year now. I live in a hot climate where we can use the pool 10 months out of the year. Color completely faded before the end of the first summer. Now the stitching is coming undone and the ;wrap won't stay in place. It slides down the hand-rail. I'll use it till it falls apart and then buy another as the price and quality can't be beat. Edit two. I bought this and put it on in June,2016.It's now June 2019 and I am replacing it. After 3 years it's starting to fall apart. No complaints here.It did a great job in our 118 degree summers. (Palm Springs,Ca).I wish it came in other colors.

Worked Perfect
Needed a cover for my pool hand rail as it gets so hot. This was easy to install and does not slip. I would rinse the cover off first.

A cool add on
A very effective add on to the pool rail. The rails always got hot enough to burn your hands but this cover works as advertised to take the burn out of the pool rails. It is a bit tricky to get it on and I did make the mistake of using a plier to pull one of the zipper tabs even though the instructions warned not to. You know what...they were right, my bad, and my local shoemaker had to put the pull tab back on for me. I installed 5, four foot units to pool stair rails, hot tub rail and ladder (don't forget to wet the cover) and learned a trick that worked for me...Even though the manufacturer tells you to start from the bottom of the rail I found the position too ackward and so I didn't and I started from the top of the rail. After getting the zipper to engage and running it down 1 or 2 inches I was able to carefully twist the cover over to its final position and complete the zipper. Once in place it works great and really looks cool (no pun intended).

Color faded and looked shabby after just a few months
Install was easy, and it served its purpose of protecting from heat, but the nice blue color faded in a few months and looked shabby. I replaced with a different brand.

I'm glad I got this
I have a shiny chrome handrail that gets extremely hot when the sun hits it making it difficult to use to get in and out of the pool. I could not really tell if it was going to fit without sliding around that decided to go ahead and get it anyway. It did take a while to get it to relax enough where I could get it to ends of the zipper together and close enough so I could start the process of zipping it up. The technique I used was to first just get the zippers end to meet up then I zipped it up only about a quarter of an inch and then unzipped it. Then each time I would add another two or 3 inches and then unzip it again until finally it was really easy to get it on. It fits snugly and does not move around because the inside of it is lined with what feels like very thin foam rubber. I would describe this like a steering wheel cover that is made out of cloth and elastic with the foam rubber inside to grip the steering wheel so it doesn't move around.
