The Arundel Collar is cutaway in style, similar to the Albany but with a rounded edge. A turndown collar with curved points. These are a less austere version of the double round and became popluar in the early decades of C20th. Approximately 1 3/4" deep at the front points and 1 1/2" at the back. detachable collars are individually handmade in the UK from the finest cotton. The process starts with the hand cut collar being dipped and then left too steep for 24 hours in Chinese rice starch, the collar is gently removed to be hand fashioned on a lit steel roller where it is then polished to a fine shine. Stiff collars are to be worn with a collar-less (or tunic) shirt and attached by means of a short back stud and a long front stud.
