This auger is high quality and makes drilling holes for planting flowers so much easier than digging by hand with a trowel. Not for use around roots or obstacles, but in plain soil (e.g., flower beds), it works great!

Tried this bulb anger today, and it worked great! We have clay soil and it's hard to dig by hand, shovel or post - hole digger. This did fit my hubby's drill. So it goes as fast as the drill, and its sooooo much easier to plant my bulbs, seedlings and plants. It's not so powerful that it kicks out of my hand. But then again it all depends on the drill.

Adam worked well could have been wider for the large attachment semi easy to be in while using but still performed very well.

Purchased this for some backyard landscaping projects. Our soil is full of river rocks, bricks, and other debris. Living in Colorado, this seems to be the norm. I finally broke it, but went through soil, tore up 1/2" roots, and ate up river stone like no tomorrow..... I used a Dewalt corded hammer drill (not on hammer setting), and went into nearly everything it came in contact with. I had to pull out some other big tools to get some larger roots rocks/bricks, out of the way. However, very impressed with this and for the cost, save me hours and hours of manual shoveling......

Ine but stripped out

We purchased it specifically to help with putting our umbrella in the sand at the beach. It works like a champion and makes it so much easier and secure.

As a senior I can help my wife plant bulbs with ease... I can stand with a cordless drill and make the right sized holes for her bulbs. A well made product that gets the job done. Five Stars...

The auger was supplied without the drill. It is just like a piece of rod without the drill. In the picture there is a drill attached to the augur . But in the user manual they are suggesting to use electric drills. Amazon should refrain from advertising such vendors.

Bought this to help loosen up the soil around my rhubarb. I worked like a charm. I used my cordless drill and it easily went down into the compacted soil and with the drill in reverse it easily came back out. I have also used this to loosen up the soil which helped greatly in digging a hole. The metal is sturdy and it seems to be constructed well.

Not durable enough

Excellent small auger. I needed to dig 1 1/2 inch holes for a temporary bamboo fence. This worked perfectly, like a tiny posthole digger.
