Amazing find, by accident. Solves identifying all my video and audio cables for remote shoots.
Many thanks for reviewer Jojanna for her brilliant suggestion to use Avery 5418 labels to attach to these tags. No one else mentioned the brand and product number. This is a huge breakthrough for solving my cable ID problems when i'm on a remote video shoot or using my audio gear for voluntary use of my PA gear for events. Our mantra in film school was either tag it or lose it. So, for years i've been using laminated business card luggage tags with various sized inserts, then cutting down as appropriate, but many times they were too large and cumbersome for cables. These solved the problem. I've shared images of how i've used these with the 5418 labels, preprinted with my company name, but i also intend to use the unprinted labels to write on because the thin Sharpie doesn't show up very well when written directly on the plastic. Whether you're using a preprinted approach or a customized approach, i'd recommend you use the labels, either printed or plain. The label makes a much better writing surface, especially when using a fine point Sharpie. A ball point pen would not work directly on the plastic, but might be workable if you're writing on a blank label. I also realized that the Avery labels don't stick on the tag very well, so i used Elmer glue stick to augment the adhesive on the labels. This size label is not available in a permanent adhesive. It's removable, which is probably why is comes off easily. (Duh). This glue is perfect because the glue allows me to position the label perfectly on the tag by sliding it around a bit before the glue sets. Once it "dries," the label doesn't come off, which is what i want. Now, to print the label, i used Word and found the label template easily. You can Google it and get the exact steps to print the labels. Also, you'll notice that i printed these without using the adjustment provisions on Word, so the printing is slightly skewed, as the opening parentheses is printing off the left margin. I have a lot of these tags to prepare because i have a lot of cables. I expect that it will be a chore fairly quickly because it's tedious work, but i'm comforted by knowing this solution will definitely ease my concerns about losing my gear to misbehaving or negligent crew who might find it otherwise easy to appropriate my gear under an "accidental" or plausible deniability justification.

Get a fine point sharpie...the label area is small
perfect for a world of products each with its own detachable cord/cable. Keeps everything well organized

Great tag but there's a snag
I love these tags and have bought them multiple times to label cables and cords of all types. I print labels that stick well to these tags and look clean and professional. Once I pull the zip tie tight I cut off the end for a clean finish. As much as I like these, the big down side is they snag easily. If you're pulling a cord or cable through a bunch of other cords, the tag will inevitably snag on something and require your full attention. These tags end up being like the locking clips on RJ11 or RJ45 connectors. Other than that, I have no complaints.

Basic tool for keeping track of what wires connect which device
Used these to label Ethernet wires in a wiring closet. Worked fine for that purpose. The writing area is small so your best option is a fine-point Sharpie for labeling. Do wish the zip ties were easily removable, as it is you have to carefully cut them off if relabeling.

Work Fine - They Are Labels, Not Bundling Ties
The size of the label limits you to about 40 total characters in three rows using a standard size Sharpie. The ink from the standard Sharpie dries in seconds, while ink from fine point Sharpies takes considerably longer to dry. It's important you keep in mind these are labels which attach with a zip tie like mechanism, but they are NOT ties. They are just labels. They tighten enough to stay in place, and are not intended to bundle wires with. These come bulk packaged in a ziplock bag, so you don't get see the notice on the box cautioning against over tightening them or trying to bundle with with them. Typically labels like this are attached to actual bundling ties (zip tie) which are designed to hold a load. A major advantage to that arrangement is that it allows you to cut the label off if the information on the tag changes without the risk of cutting the wires themselves or having to cut the bundling tie. When you've got a bunch of cable all neatly bundled at multiple points cutting one of the bundling ties between the first and last tie in the cable run causes all the tension in the bundle to become slack at the cutting point. It looks bad, and if you're dealing with a large number of cables it can be a big chore to restore the bundle to its previous state.

Great wire tags
Great little wire tags. The zip tie is strong and the tag is small but bug enough to write on. Definitely good quality and a value at the price.

I wouldn’t buy again just because of how small they are
These ended up being way smarter than I thought they were going to be. I kept them well actually the wife kept them, but we still haven’t used them for the purpose I was going to
