They Work!
Despite the relative โcheapnessโ of their appearance and hardware, these gadgets worked very well to join two pieces of 25โ wide butcher block countertop. Used three of them; nixed the included screws for #8x1โ cabinet screws. Attached all pieces to their respective sides of the countertops before installing the countertops, placed the countertops, inserted the bolt through both pieces and tightened uniformly. No issues with drawing the seam together; got good glue squeeze out. However, the best part aside from being very easy to install is the leveling feature that allows you to get a perfectly level seam.

Easy to use
I used the fasteners to connect two butcherblock counter tops together. They were able to close the gap, but the ends of the wood weren't as straight from factory; should have ran my saw between the two to get a better fit. Overall great to use. I chose this option because I didn't feel like routing slots in my wood for zip bolts.

New innovation works well!
Iโd never seen or tried this type of miter hardware before. NO ROUTING REQ. The adjustments up, down, sideways and along the cut WORKS AMAZINGLY well! I will use only these from now on. Only two minor issues: 1. No included installation instructions. (had to figure it out on my own.) 2. The sub-top underneath, had to be cut open to allow for the bulk of the hardware to pass through & the countertop to sit down flat. (careful with the lazy susan location โcause you donโt want to cut out where it attaches up top) This wasn't that big of a deal. Iโm pretty happy with this product.

Worked Well
I read plenty of reviews and had my reservations, but decided these couldn't hurt to try. I was debating on using biscuits and pocket screws or traditional clamping bolts on my butcher block install, as I was assembling them I tried these to see if they would do the job. Installation is relatively simple. I did have to add these to the underside after setting counters and it wasn't too bad. The clamping action was very sufficient at tightening up my gaps, and the adjustment features allowed for smooth, flush counter surfaces at the seams with no additional finishing. I added pocket screws to keep things right after using these to set level and close the gap. The screws included were sufficient, but as others have stated, if you have adequate material thickness, consider a slightly longer screw. I didn't rip any screws out, but I could see the screws being an issue if the joints were overtightened. The only downside I found was locating at joints with cabinetry adjacent. The hardware was interfering on one joint which would have required me to route a section of cabinetry to fit the hardware. Clamp bolts would have worked in that location.

Works well and easy to use.
I was pleasantly surprised at how well these worked. We used these on a large seam and even after moving the top it held the pieces together very well with minimal readjusting after setting the top. They are bulkier than the traditional sunken connector however those require a router and a jig to do properly and these are very easy to install. We plan on buying 2 or 3 more sets for an even larger seam that will be around 9 feet and have complete confidence that they will function very well for our purposes

perfect solution!
These were an excellent buy for $25. I am installing my own kitchen and using butcher block counters, but didn't want to have to learn to use a router to connect them. These connectors were easy to install and use, and the outcome (level, tightly connected counters) is exactly what I hoped for. You can see the underside of the counter in my pic - it is recommended to use all four for a single connection, and this worked better than when I just put two on. The instructions were annoying/unclear but it isn't hard to figure out.

Great product. Saves time as you don't need to router the countertops to install the draw bolts
