HUGE improvement over the original lid!
My original lid rubber started to break down so I needed a replacement. This one turned out to be a huge upgrade from the old one, wish I would have known about this sooner.

Needed a new lid
I've had my Blendtec for going on 10+ years now and it was time for a new cap. This thing survived a flood that destroyed about everything in the house, and just keeps on ticking. The only question: "Will it blend?"

It fits!!!!
FINALLY! One that fits! I have bought a few lids for my Blendtec and every one of them has been difficult to use. I have to start in one corner and painstakingly shove it down. This one, I just just place on the blender. That’s it. ….and it’s secure.

This is the lid that should have come with my blender!
I have no idea why my Blendtec didn't come with this lid. I have a commercial Blendtec and it came with a horrible soft rubber lid. It used to keep popping off and I've had the lid with the blender contents fly out a number of times. I was honestly contemplating selling my blender and getting a Vitamix just because of how bad the lid was. Luckily I didn't do that. This new lid is so good, it stays on no matter how full my jar is and nothing ever leaks out. This is the lid that should have come with my blender, thankfully it's not an expensive upgrade. Get it, get it, get it. I can't emphasize this.

Fits well, hopefully it will last.
Fits well. Hopefully it will last. The original lid began to crumble, but I had it for a number of years. I wa a bit annoyed that I had to buy a replacement and that the replacement was as expensive as it was, but the product itself seems to be pretty good.
