Game changer!
This ball is a blessing for my high energy Belgian Malinois! She cannot puncture it or bite it... hence her teeth can't be damaged. The size is perfect as she cannot hold it in her mouth alone... it's a pretty big ball. In order for her to play soccer with me, she needs to hold it between her front paws and face.... kicks off her herding instinct, get's her mentally stimulated and physically tired. Of course you have to engage in a play! She LOVES it and will listen to any command for this ball play! Amazing toy!!

Very Durable, No weird Odors
My dogs absolutely loved this toy. They are really rough and like to play pretty hard so this was perfect for their antics. I will say if you are using it inside, it will make quite a bit of noise on hardwood floors. It's not caused any scuffs or blemishes on the trim but just be prepared for some racket. I chose the orange colored ball and my dogs seem to enjoy the bright color. It looks very sturdy and will not collapse or dent in on itself. No weird odors when I unpacked it which is a huge plus. After hours of play its still holding up just fine!

A MUST HAVE for your active dogs.
We have had one of these balls for each of our 4 pittbulls for 8 years now. I mean, they are obsessed and look forward to playing with them 2 to 3 times a day - EVERY day! We have to peel them away each time. The balls sit in our lover field all year long! Finally, after all this time, we are down to 2 balls (and sadly, just 2 dogs as well), we need to replace them. Compare this to any other ball that literally lasts 5-10 minutes in our house! The balls got cracks in them from so much throwing around at all different temperature ranges over the years. HOW WE USE THEM: Some of the dogs chase their ball - pushing it around with their nose and totally yelling at it (hilarious!), some just want to horde their ball and lick it obsessively. At times, the dogs try to bite it - making ‘scratches’ in the plastic - which we just occasionally sand down with a hand-held orbital sander and 80 grit sandpaper to smooth it out some. The dogs LOVE LOVE LOVE when you interact with them and the ball. Aside from throwing it, we also lightly kick it around (with heavy hiking shoes to protect your feet) like soccer - but are always mindful of not kicking it to their face or body so they don’t get hurt. This is great fun for the younger and more athletic dogs. One of our dogs keeps a smaller squishy-ball in his mouth while playing soccer’. Our older dog likes when I play ‘tag’. This is a game where I announce ‘tag’ each time I lightly tap the ball toward him. This way he knows it’s coming and the game is for him to move out of the way so it doesn’t touch him. It took about 3 months for us to learn this game together. We also play ‘keep-away’ (good for middle-age and older dogs). In this game I announce ‘keep-away’ so the dog knows to chase me for the ball. I tap it away from them (not going very far) and they try to get in front of the ball. When they do, I turn and tap the ball away in the other direction. This is much less ‘active’ than the soccer play but still lets the dog be a part of the play time. I often mix this with the ‘tag’ game; switching back and forth between the two. They are so smart and can totally keep up! Hope this is helpful to people with active dogs. For pitbull parents: We have found these balls really help them get out all of that energy! We are volunteers in a pitbull rescue for 13 years now and have had 5 of our own. Some rescue dogs want nothing to do with the balls and some get WAY too focused on the ball … so it’s good to introduce them to it in a yard with no other dog and only if you already know they are not prone to resource-guarding and aggressive behavior. Anyway, only negative thing to say about the ball is that the customer can’t pick the color. Like, what the heck! Orange is best for our dogs but the new ones came red. Not enough contrast with the grass, IMO. I’m trying not to be disappointed but honestly, I am. This change is actually quite huge for our gang. UPDATE: our dogs have now taken to the new red balls with the same enthusiasm as the old orange balls. I also wanted to share that the smaller balls they prefer to have in their mouth while interacting with me and these hard balls is the “ ZippyPaws ZippyTuff Waggle Ball” but be sure to get the 3.5” ball NOT the bigger one.

10" a bit small for a 72lb dog
I have a 72lb Golden Retriever and he was able to get hold of it with his feet then mouth wide open he started, rubbing biting the ball with his fangs. The ball sufferred deep scratches in less than two hours of play. I need a bigger one! Other than the size, all together the ball is tough and good quality, just pick the correct size for your dog.

Received An Unfinished Defective Ball With Horrid Gaps In The Seem
I purchased a 6 in ball and a 10 inch ball in the past. These were perfectly and completely rounded with no gaps in the seem and no gashes. And I am still extremely happy with the 6 and 10 inch balls but I am very disappointed that I was sent this 8 inch ball I just purchased that I received today it is defective with gaps in the seem and it is unfinished. It looks as though the two parts of the ball were glued or welded together very unprofessionally with indents and deep visible gaps and adding to this there is a gash on the side. This ball is not cheap and I am so disappointed that I paid for a ball that is defective which I don't believe will last very long as the seems appear as though would split due to quality control not checking this item and ensure I received a perfectly finished 8 inch ball that is not defective. I know this is not how these ball should look because as I said above I purchased a 6 inch and 10 inch ball last year and the year before and they were perfectly rounded with no gashes or indented seems and the both have lasted until now with no issues and they are still going strong but this 8 in. ball that I just received is lopsided with a gapped rim half way around the ball where the other half is perfect. This 8 inch ball is defective. I'm so upset because my dog, Snookums, has been waiting for his ball and was so excited to receive it only to find that the ball is not perfect like the first ball I bought but rather put together incorrectly and probably will not last due to this. I'm so upset. PLEASE HELP to resolve this issue fast so my dog can be happy again. It's terrible to pay so much for a ball only to find you were sent a defective item. Quality control should have checked this item before sending it. I'm so disappointed. To update, I requested a return explaining the above. The return process is simple. I was sent another 8 in. ball a couple of days later. The replacement is also not perfect also with an unfinished rim/seem half way around, but it is a lot better than the one am now supposed to return. No one apologized for the first unfinished ball and no one reached out to me. The process of returning for a replacement is all automated via bots with no real people getting back to you and as it appears the replacement item is also not checked by quality control because it was not perfect too, but it is much better and my dog will not scratch his face as much while chasing it like the first 8 in ball scratched his face. I suppose to return the defective ball by the 28th or I will be charged for the replacement. I have decided to throw away the defective ball which I have photographed to show it's defects because I'm afraid if I return this defective ball it will just go back into circulation via automation and someone else's dog will be hurt from it which I don't want to take responsibility for. I would feel terrible if I sent it back and they just tried to sell it again to some unsuspecting customer so I will bite the bullet and I will cover the extra charge to save the same aggravation someone else would have to experience. As I said above I have purchased a 6 and 10 in h ball in the past and they are perfectly rounded with perfectly finished rims/seems that are smooth and not dangerous for my dogs and these are still going strong so in conclusion there is probably an issue with their 8 inch balls. End of the day I'm stuck with a scrap 8 inch ball which I will throw away and a half way decent 8 inch ball which I have now given to Snookums, my beloved pooch all now costing me $36 to be stuck with a second ball that's better but still not perfect.

Destructible
I was hoping that this ball would be the one… it arrived Saturday, 5/30, and we gave it to our Malinois at about 7:30pm. He played with it twice. Prompted by me, he played with it twice today. It’s hard plastic and I thought he wouldn’t be able to destroy it but I underestimated him. He killed it. We will not be giving it back to him for fear that he will break a tooth.

All the social papers say I've got the biggest balls of all.
Background I have the 10" version with no removable plug or fill hole, just a small, concave "belly button" evidently from the molding process. A new 10" ball I purchased more recently (Nov 2015) as a gift had the belly button filled in completely with what appeared to be a plastic weld of the same material. Both balls are blue. My dog, Roscoe, is a 50 pound, 1 year old pit bull of some sort. He's a strong, though not prolific, chewer. He's not the most athletic dog. He suffered a leg injury as a puppy and never quite learned to run properly. He typically prefers tug to any other game and will turn fetch into tug after one or two throws. The Product The ball is a very heavy plastic shell around a hollow core. Thanks to the lack of fill hole that some others have received, Roscoe can't get a purchase on it with his teeth. The surface is now well scarred with scrapes and scratches, but none of them are close to penetrating the surface. Despite its deceptively high weight, the ball floats on water, though I noticed it seemed to take on a little bit of water after Roscoe knocked it in the pond. I suspect if it is not completely air- or watertight, but the newer ball with the welded hole may rectify that. A local dog park has a similar ball. I should say "had" because some senseless person reeled back and kicked it with her toes, causing the park to remove the ball for humans' safety. It is not a soft or light ball. I still kick it around when playing with Roscoe, but even I have enough sense to not jam my toe into it. It's easy and fun to boot it around, even in thin, canvas moccasins. Roscoe will chase it, push it back, and play "soccer" with me until one of us breaks it loose and the cycle continues. He's even gotten good about stopping the ball before it rolls into the flower gardens and pushing it out when it does. If I had a fully fenced yard with no gardens, I'd have no qualms about letting him play with it alone. Unfortunately, Roscoe has the bad habit of trying to remove vegetation around the ball when it gets stuck. I've lost a few lilac suckers already. The ball is also NOT an indoor toy. It is big, heavy and loud when on hard floors, and could be dangerous to delicate furnishings. Roscoe also has the habit of pushing the ball up when it's in a corner, and he has launched it at least coffee table-high. He also slobbers on the ball quite a bit. I imagine it would transfer easily to carpets and upholstery. The slobber does leave residue on my socks and pant legs when I'm playing soccer with it. Dog's Impressions Roscoe loves this ball. When it is in the yard, he is totally focused on pushing it around with his head and chest. Stuff that would normally distract him like neighbors, neighbors' dogs, and squirrels all seem to fall by the wayside. My neighbor's dog also liked playing with it, but he would mainly push it around with his paws. Roscoe will have burned a lot of energy after 20 minutes of soccer and will be totally gassed after 30. Getting it away from him is still tough, as he will hug the ball with his front paws so tightly that I have to struggle to get it away! On Roscoe's first introduction to the ball, he was a bit scared. I put it on a linoleum floor and it would roll around a bit on its own, trying to find equilibrium. Once it was stable on grass (or snow, as it happened), Roscoe was much more comfortable with it.

Unpoppable
It’s hard plastic like a whiffle ball bat. She will not pop it because it’s not air filled and she can’t chew or gnaw it because it’s hard.

Great enrichment toy
The only toy my lab hasn’t yet managed to destroy. He’s only allowed it in the garden as I have wooden floors inside and quickly learned that he could send it flying across the room with his paw and break things haha which is my fault for not even thinking about that! Had it for a few months now and he plays with it daily in the garden, will repurchase if he ever does manage to break it

Indestructible and light
I love the fact that it is really Indestructible and pleasant for my dog. I have a 2 years old sheprador and she loves it so much. I bought a smaller size when she was younger and she still love both oh them. Color is flashy and good for a dog (it won't get lost). I recommend it 110%!
