I need this tape to be abit tacky so my hands do do slip on my dragonboat paddle my friend has it in clear and seams to work so is it tacky??

Yes it is tacky. It's self fusing tape, so it's not sticky in the sense of having glue, but more tacky. It's best to put the tape on and then wait at least 1 hour to let it settle, and then the tape feels grippy.

Can this be used to wrap around barbells?

This tape sticks to itself as you overlap it while wrapping. I use it on a graphite paddle but I think it would be worth a try on a barbell. I bet you could ask the company.

Grip tape

Good grip but still slips occasionally

Works great!

First time I've used tape on my dragon boat paddle and it works great. I watched a youtube video that shows how to put it on properly. Since getting this tape in May, I've paddled twice a week with it and competed in multi-day races every month. Only now (in August) do I have to re-apply. (The tape started to tear during my last race in July but it still provided enough grip). Overall, I got two uses out of the one roll but I was heavy on the tape the first time around. You could probably get three uses out of a roll if you skimped a bit. Just ordered another two rolls. Love this stuff.
