This is an awesome book with information everyone should know about maintaining good brain function. I'm not going to rant about the horrible things people do to themselves with bad diet and lifestyle choices, but I can suggest they walk away from the TV and read wonderful books like this one to make life better for themselves.

Patrick Holford is highly educated, knows what he is talking about AND provides the study information to back it up!! EXCELLENT info!!! VERY informative!! A MUST have for anyone with mental illness! Don't let the pharmaceutical companies take advange of you & cause additional health problems down the road!! Give optimum nutrition a chance FIRST the way God & nature intended!

This is an formative book on how nutrition aids brain function and good health - a must have for those who are particular about the food they consume and need to know the nutrition for the whole body. This book was a replacement for a book published eons ago titled How to be your own nutritionist - this book was a gift so I have not read the whole book but researched enough to make a decision to give it to a family member.

Explains all about nutrition and how it affects the body and mind in an easy to follow way! Cures are all about the food we eat! Very informative!!

Bought this book under a recommendation from my peers on my Nutrition course. Found it to be very insightful. I have a relative who is Schizophrenic so it was good to understand how the condition affects them, and put it into perspective. As with all Partick Holford books, it is thorough, whilst still covering a lot of bases. Really pleased with this book - buy the Optimum Nutrition Bible whilst you're at it to obtain a truely rounded base of knowledge to human health.

How can one dislike such an informative book which has a wise appeal to all with an interest in the subject of the mind.? This book has a broad appeal based on science and written by an expert. I bought this book for my husband and he is reading this with great interest as a medical professional. He rarely reads books on the subject of nutrition but I was delighted to see him immersed in this book and refer to it as a source of credible information on the subject of nutrition and its effect on the mind. An excellent book, well written and most informative.

Very helpful and easy to read. Packed with information. I have tried some of the recommendations myself with amazing results. I can't wait to try more. It has helped me improve my health and well-being.
