Oran's Dictionary of the Law

I really love this handy reference book - it has all of the standard definitions you could hope to find that revolve anywhere in close proximity to legal jargon. I am in school right now and I use this dictionary on a regular basis. The one perk that stands out, is that the entire dictionary is added to CD (also included with the book). By transferring the CD contents to flash drive, I leave the print version at home and take the electronic version with me wherever I may be inclined to do homework. Even if I'm stuck somewhere without an internet connection, I have an entire legal dictionary readily available.The electronic version is web browser based, and includes the option to search for terms only, or for terms and within definitions of other terms. The second option makes it easier to locate other definitions which sometimes help put a single term into better context. Plus, definitions contain hyperlinks to any words which may be defined in the dictionary already.This is probably of little use to someone already familiar with the legal industry, but is a must have for aspiring, new law students and paralegals alike.

The item is delivered on time and the book looks like new for a used book. It will definitely have a good use for my course. Highly recommend the seller.

It was on the list of books needed for para legal class. We only use part of one chapter.I can't tell you I'd this book is helpfull or not.

You can spend twice as much for other Law dictionaries and get less coverage. Oran's Law dictionary helped me more.

ProsThis is a good buy if you are looking for a basic dictionary for class. It's small and easy to use.ConsYou can't take the CD envelope out of the book so it gets in the way.A bit pricey for what it is.

I find Black's a more complete dictionary...but- this seller is GRREAT. Just as described-perfect :-)

I knew this was a used book but I thought the CD was going to come with it. Definitely overpriced since the disc wasn't included. But, it's a book I need for class so I can't complain since this is hard to find.

Great info but newsprint comes off on my hands
