Good Day Chocolate Natural Calming Supplement for Adults, Blend of Camomile, Theanine, Magnesium, Fair Trade and Non-GMO Chocolate, 50 Pieces

So, I read some reviews before this purchase and this is my first purchase and use of this item, however I got it via whole foods Amazon delivery and I included pictures because that's what I'm thinking is the difference in ppl saying some are old looking and broken, bad taste etc...so if you can I would use the same day Whole foods method instead. I have EXTREME anxiety and not just sometimes, it's a health condition and it has to be treated professionally (because anxiety disorder is different in that it's a chemical imbalance of feeling constant fight or flight and racing thoughts) however the problem is having such bad anxiety and stressful situations accompanied by a high tolerance sometimes you need natural supplements and not many things work or they have the adverse effect, even for prescribed supplements so, that said, I was surprised that this worked, granted I took 4 ( read the instructions) and had already taken a half of a legally prescribed anxiety pill about 2 hours or so prior...or more but it was wearing off already. I was having small panic attacks etc...if you have diagnosed anxiety you know what I mean, it's not outwardly showing per say but you feel it strong, heart pounding, mind racing etc...it's not fun and can be debilitating so I was surprised that it worked fairly well. I gave it time and I do feel a slight difference in calm, slight, which is rare, now wether or not that will last idk or if it will continue to work for me personally idk but the chocolate taste is good and I'm not a fan of chocolate, so I'm very picky with the taste of it. Definitely milk chocolate, light not heavy so hey if all else fails, I'll have a good healthy chocolate supplement. I think this will work for those who need anxiety relief every now and then with lower tolerance for sure, but that said... everybody is different. Obviously if you're allergic to chocolate get something else...keep away from dogs etc...point is best if purchased via Amazon whole food delivery for quality and it worked pretty well NOT a cure all for ppl with diagnosed anxiety or depression or both & won't last long, don't expect a legally prescribed emphasis on "legally" perscribed anxiety medication effect. That's my two cents hope it helps, the struggle is real.

I have never felt drowsy with these but each person is different. They taste so yum! I am able to relax and calm down within a minute or two. With an almost teenager and a puppy running rampant in the house, the stress level can go up very quickly.

I eat 2 of these every night and sleep like a baby. They are delicious! They are a little expensive, but worth every penny!

I like to take these at bedtime or mid-day if I need an extra calming effect in addition to the L-Theanine I am taking 2x a day. I only use these if my anxiety is especially strong and the L-Theanine is just not enough. This supplement works as a boost or a bridge between the 2 doses of L-theanine for me. It doesn't do much on it's own. It works but the effects don't last long if I only take these without taking my regular L-Theanine. But these chocolate rounds taste yummy!!

I’ve been using Good Day Chocolate for a while now, mostly the calm and sleep varieties for my children. Off and on I use the adult Calm for myself. I have tried other brands/versions of calming supplements and while I have found others that work nothing works like these do. I take a dose at night when my anxiety is at it’s worse. This helps bring me down a level. I will also use it before something I know will be an anxious event. They work so well, and more quickly than other calming supplements. Of course they do not replace any prescribed medication or therapies. I also want to mention that when I ordered these I actually received a red, flannel blanket and not the vitamins. However Good Day reached out to me and remedied the issue for me. Great product, great customer service. Cant ask for more than that.

The amount of magnesium in these is comically low. 40 mg when you eat 4 pieces. The recommended amount for adults is 200 - 300 mg. You would have to eat so many of these to get any beneficial amount of magnesium. Even the theanine is too low to really have much of a calming effect (you need 100-200mg for that). These amounts are so low, I'm not sure why it is marketed for adults, these levels would be perfectly fine for children. They are tasty (and sugary) but you'd be better off finding a gummy with higher levels of these vitamins if you can't swallow pills.
