What on earth do you do with young pups who have tons of energy, sharp teeth, and powerful jaws? You exercise them, of course! And then you give them Benebones. Wow. These are a huge hit in my home. Several times during the last 20 years I'd purchased Nylabones (similar concept), but none of my dogs had shown any interest. It was disappointing because I needed a heavy-duty chew toy for my pets to enjoy while inside the house; I can only guess they lacked enough flavor. Benebones (one peanut butter, one bacon) are a welcome addition. My dogs detected something exciting in the Amazon box, and when I revealed the goodies inside, ALL the pups were interested. They're still chewing away and swapping flavors. I'm equally delighted! It's important to remember that powerful chewers (especially young pups with sharp teeth) can destroy just about anything. Let's face it; they're born with jaws capable of chewing through animal hide and bone. Chew toys are no exception. My dogs (mixes of Shepherd, Retriever, and Doberman) are fiercely and happily chewing on their Benebones and making a dent in them. As the chew toy gets wet, it softens on the surface. Teeth marks are evident, and the smooth surface of the toy becomes jagged, BUT the dogs are not destroying it. It's the most significant difference for me; the surface changes, but not the integrity of the entire toy. You can see where it is minimally breaking down, but overall they are lasting. The toy is solid when dry, and the roughened surface scrubs the dog's teeth. Then, as the dog continues to chew, the toy softens a little. I cannot detect any odors and I don't see stains on my rugs or furniture. Thankfully, my dogs haven't experienced any obvious GI upset, which can happen with natural chews like horns and rawhide. The photo shows both bones after a week of daily assault, and they're still holding up. Even if they only last for another week, they're still a far better value than the chew toys that get destroyed within 10 minutes. However, it appears the Benebones will endure many more weeks (if not months) of enjoyment, and this makes them an absolute winner for my brood. Hope this helps!

My Girl is a Belgian Malinois X which is a mix of the Belgian Shepard and the German Shepard. Many people thing this is the best combination, other think this is a bastardization of the original breed. Well, as a pet owner I can tell you I have a crazy, family pet that loves to love and play. She doesn't need 20 hours a day of stimulus, she just needs a good chewy and to play or chase her ball once in a while. We walk every day, maybe a mile, but that is the extent of her exercise. She does like to bark at the neighbors that are walking their own dogs, we try to suppress that, but she is the best dog we have ever had. We love our little Amy...

My two Bostons can DESTROY pretty much ANY toy you put in front of them in a matter of moments!!! They even shred the heavy duty Bark Box stuffed animal toys meant for large dogs within 2-3 minutes, and both of my girls weigh less than 25lbs. But this toy has lasted for months on end!!! They still both enjoy gnawing on it, and it's durable as HELL!! I'll definitely be buying another and more from this brand!!

Update: bought a second one. I have one super happy doggy. He could barely wait for me to take a picture because he wanted it so badly. Very, very happy with this bone. Smaller one has been appropriated by the Chihuahua in the house (she couldn't pick it up until it got small - bonus, because she steals bones from my dog). I'm quite sure she'll gnaw on it for another few months before it'll need to be thrown away. My GSD is a heavy chewer. I bought this from target on a whim, and have not been disappointed. He goes at this thing for hours a day - and gets upset if it's in a room where the door is closed. I've had it for two months now. He got the handle off one side (my only con: the handles do come off after much chewing, so pay attention and break if off before the dog does), and is now working on the other. Considering raw hide bones last him an hour at most, and other chew toys last maybe a month, I'm super impressed at the durability. This is also a great dental chew! I am extremely happy with this, because my GSD had heavy plaque on his back molars. I tried multiple different "dental" ANYTHING. This is the first chew that did what it said it would - the plaque is almost gone after only 2 months on most of his teeth - there's a few back teeth that are more stubborn. I'll definitely be purchasing more of these when his current one is well and dead. Though, considering it's lasted this long so well, I'll probably just buy him a new one next month. Pros: dogs can prop them up to chew, very durable, my dog can't get enough of the bacon flavored one Cons: the handles do come off

I have a 2.5 year old beagle, she big 30 lbs. She literally chews through every type of bone, toy, stick etc in a matter on hours!! I bought 4 different bone/chew toys from this company: One dental bone, chicken, bacon and peanut butter ( in size large) My dog absolutely LOVE ALL OF THEM and CHEWS ON THEM DAILY FOR HOURS ( I am exaggerating!) It has now been around 3 months and these will probably last a full year!! If you have a puppy/dog that annihilates every bone and toy YOU NEED TO GIVE THESE BONES a chance!!! I will be repurchasing for sure ❤️❤️

I can’t really say anything bad or good about it except my dog has zero interest in it i tried shaving the top to arouse interest and playing with it but nothing even though she loves chews but she is a very picky dog so can be completely on my dog

I’ve been buying these bones for our dog since he was a puppy....... they are great for aggressive chewers - takes them a long time to get through them and cleans their teeth I. The process...... 1 bone - definitely lasts our pup 3-6 months. Our dog holds it because of its “rocker” design.
