Great for my guinea pigs
I love these little litter boxes. I keep one in each corner of my piggies' enclosure, and it really cuts down on the cleaning. My girls use them, because they are very accessible to them. One of my girls uses the litter box pretty much exclusively, and is potty trained. The other three mostly use it, but I still have to sweep up some potties here and there, and they still pee in the places where they eat, but it is very reduced when I use the litter pans. Also, I do not have the yucky messes in the corners of my cage, because the pans are there. I love the locking in place, and I am able to do this even with my C&C style cage because of the boost that my fleece liners give. I do put a pad under each box. I also have a hidey-tent covering the litter boxes in the corner, so my girls are more likely to use it. I just use a piece of fabric or a cloth napkin to make it. I also like the rack because the girls do not toss the litter all around or dig in it. And, they don't hurt their feet because they have a huge enclosure so they don't spend a tons of time sitting on just those little racks. They do not chew on these...we have plenty of other things for them to chew on. I also like them because they secure the corners of my fleece liners! :) I have the jumbo size of these for my rabbits, and I love them. They are durable, the rack is great because it eliminates digging, easy to clean, and attaches to the cage so they don't scoot it all around and dump it. The only thing about the rabbits, is that my female took a little adjustment time to get used to the rack. I had to actually get rid of the rack initially in order for her to use it. Then I was able to put it back in. Great product!

Smaller than expected
I got this corner litter pan because it is very similar in design to a brand I bought years ago. However, I have found several issues/differences: *The first is that it is significantly smaller than my older ones. The size works well enough for rats, but it seems too small for rodents such as bunnies, chinchillas, etc. *Second, the clips used to secure the litter box to the cage are slightly too large for the litter pan. This makes it difficult to properly hook it to the cage bars. * Lastly, The small litter pan is also much shallower than I was expecting. This means that I can't put nearly as much litter in it, and so it usually smells a bit more than the larger ones. *The pros: has a metal grate easy to clean good size litter box for small rodents and/or small cages. *The cons: Probably too small for large rodents like bunnies, chinchillas, etc. Somewhat shallow A little difficult to clip onto cages.

Great little litter pan
I purchase this litter pan from Amazon a couple of months ago. For reference, I have a 1 year old, white-and-grey dwarf rabbit who I've had since she was only 2 months old, and we prefer to use aspen wood pellets as her litter. She was previously using a litter pan with no grate. Since she is litter trained she spends quite a bit of time sitting in her litter pan, munching on hay, and doing her business. We noticed that the bottoms of her feet were beginning to show some slight yellow coloration and looked dingy, despite her cleanliness. From time to time, she also liked to dig into her litter and spread it all about her cage in the middle of the night. So, when I went searching for an affordable litter pan with a grate I was pleased to find this one here. It seems to fit well in her cage and is a great size for her since she's a smaller rabbit. I can see how it may be too small for larger rabbits though. The backsplash is not as high as her previous litter pan, but it is high enough to keep any sprayed bits contained well. She is unable to dig into her litter and spread around her mess which, of course, makes clean-up days a breeze. Also, the metal wiring seems sturdy so it doesn't indent with her weight and she doesn't seem to be uncomfortable when standing on it. The only downside that I've really found is that it can be difficult to latch back into the catch once removed. There are two small screwed-on plastic parts that hold the pan in place. These plastic parts move ever so slightly if bumped too hard when trying to replace the pan. Since my girl's cage is a little larger, it's difficult to reach to the back of the cage to hold these in place well while trying to slide this pan onto those latches right. It can be done, but it might take a minute or two. I don't knock it for that though since it doesn't create much of a hassle. Overall, I would definitely recommend this product to anyone with a smaller sized bunny.

Rats are much cleaner!
Overall, great product! I ordered these for my several rats. They've all been litter box trained but can't seem to stay out of their litter box after they're done using it so they get smelly pretty quick, I was looking for something to prevent that and this fits that need perfectly. At first they were not so sure about the grate but now they're pooping right in it no problem, my only regret is that they won't also pee inside with their pee rock either under or on top of the grate. I would definitely recommend this, at first it's a pain to put on but my other litter boxes that I had just hung on the edges and so without thinking about it I set these up the same way and after a couple ratties came to inspect the weight was too much and slipped out from the clasps. If you do hang it off the side of the cage though it WILL tilt forward and wiggle a little bit when touched but stays on no problem. For keeping it place without sliding you could also slide the attaching bits as far apart as they will go from each-other with the box still attacked and tighten the buttons up and just lift and remove the box for cleaning. If the rickety bothers you, like it did me, what I did was I slipped a paint stirring stick under the bow end through the bars to add some extra support so I didn't feel like my ratties were spilling off over the edge. It's a complete dream for keeping both your pets and your cages cleaner. If you are having trouble with litter training your little one what generally helps me is to pick up all their stray little poops and return it to the box and they will follow the example and stop making messes outside their box, if you're first time litter training them, it will take some time, but it is well worth it I assure you!

Great product - one flaw
GReat product. It stays put with the attachment and works. We got 2 for our bunnies. The only problem we had is that the white piece in the front, which holds the grid from separating from the base, is not strong enough to stay put. Our bunnies found a way to bite it off and remove it...so every morning when we go out to clean them, it is in the cage and not attached to the base - which then makes the grid be free for them to pull it out! Not all bunnies will be devilish and do that but ours do. We have had this for 1 year, so plenty of t - so it is strong and durable - but with the problem that they can bite and separate grid, it is not ideal for us. We have tried 4 different sizes and styles from different brands due to different cage sizes and needs we have with our bunnies... When we need to buy another one, I will not be buying this, will pick another one that makes the grid snap in place in a way that bunnies can not remove it.

Easy health monitoring // Reduces litter waste // Keeps bunny clean and healthy
This litter pan is easy-to-clean and functional. Even if your bunny hops in very angrily after a pedicure, the grate will not move. The pan is very easy to remove. I only use one pan-attaching screw. All I have to do is rotate the screw anti-clockwise once and slide the washer up .75 inches. After cleaning, I only need to slide the washer down and slightly tighten the screw to secure the pan again. Every bunny mommy or daddy should clean this pan at least once a day; this is common sense. This litter pan reduces so much waste. We do NOT line the bottom of the pan with pet bedding or newspaper. We simply soak up the urine with paper towels (maximum of two) and wipe down the tray with one antibacterial wipe. Not using litter to line the bottom lets me sample her urine for color classification and sediment measurements. As a bunny mommy, monitoring her urine viscosity, smell, and sediment amount help me regulate her water consumption and the amount of treats she eats. If you would like to reduce odor and stuck calcium sediment, you can pour 100 mL of water into the pan after cleaning it. The metal grate prevents my bunny's feet from becoming dirty and keeps her bottom clean. The metal grate is not harmful to my bunny. She only sits there for 10 seconds to urinate and for 15 seconds to defecate. When she used to micturate without this pan, her bottom became smeared with urine because of the original cage's urine guard design. She leaves an average of 207 pellets in her hay container. I do not mind this because it gives me an opportunity to sample my bunny's pellets. I use the samples to monitor her health.

Made of durable plastic and metal, serves its purpose well.
I purchased this for my rats and my mom subsequently bought one for our rabbit. This size is great for rats and is still huge in my opinion. It takes up a good corner of their cage and is easy to use. I wanted to litter train my rats with this but got lazy after a while, waiting for them to spontaneously poop in this pan to give them a treat. So a lot of their droppings end up in this but they're also scattered all over the cage. If you are very motivated and have smart rats, go for it. Honestly this thing is kind of expensive for a plastic litter pan, but you don't have a ton of options in the world of small pets. I like the scatter-less design to this with the metal lining so your pets don't displace all the litter in it as they climb in. Ware is a well known and good company when it comes to small pet accessories and this is one of their many quality products. If you're looking for a litterbox for a rat-sized pet or possibly a small rabbit, this is the size you're looking for. Our medium sized bunny uses the large version, and I would definitely recommend that too for ferrets.
