It worked perfect since it didn’t need much power so the 10 gauge wire wasn’t too thin. What I did find is the ground wire was kinda short so it has to be set up really close to where you need to ground it or get a different wire if you need to route it further. The sound quality seems to be good and it had everything I needed for a quick set up. Review: Professionalism - EXCELLENT PRODUCT ## Features - 20 ft. 10 GA Red Power Cable, ATC Fuse Holder - 16 Ft. 18 GA Blue Remote Turn-On Wire, 2 ft. 10 GA Black Ground Cable - 15 ft. Why are you answering a question when you zero car audio knowledge? This is not what you think it is. This is not 8 AWG(American Wire Gauge) copper wire. This is 14 AWG copper clad aluminum wire, keyword being aluminum. I wouldn’t trust this wire for 100 watts. Although BOSS amps are so overrated that it could handle a 1000 watt BOSS because a 1000 watt BOSS amp really only does about 100 watts. You guys are going to start a fire or at minimum the wire will melt. I can tell how many people have said that this wiring kit power wire melted. **Q: What gage is the speaker wire?** A: Do not buy this! The power wire will melt. It’s not what you think it is. It’s not copper and it’s not 8 gauge. It’s aluminum and it’s 14 Gauge power wire, idk what the speaker wire is but that’s aluminum also, not copper and probably 22 gauge. I would never recommend this amp kit for any reason **Q: can it handle a boss 400 watt amp?** A: yes with ease I have tested it on a few dif amps and now have found it will handle upto a 800 watt rms amp befor it starts to get hot but at 1000 watts rms it started melting **Q: does the fuse holder come with a fuse installed or do i need to pick one up and if so what kind** A: It comes with the fuse holder and the fuse you have to install it but that's simple to do just install it about 6inches from the battery :) ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Good starter kit for a basic install *by C***S on May 3, 2026* I was able to install my power under seat subwoofer with the kit. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Professionalism *by P***O on September 6, 2026* EXCELLENT PRODUCT ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great *by F*** on March 5, 2011* The wire gauges stated on the package were honest and correct. I purchased two of these to power a single 1000watt amp and it works fine. The quality of the metal material in the power wire is questionable but still gets the job done. Don't bother using the speaker wire, too thin for anything but headphones. This is the lowest priced amp wire kit available that is actually honest about the size. There are several brands on amazon that falsely sell so called 8 gauge kits but the wire is only 12gauge. Not sure how they get away with that. Anyways this is a good product. Quality is average. Price is unbelievably low. Boss usually makes decent 'value' products. ## Frequently Bought Together - BOSS Audio Systems KIT-ZERO 10 Gauge Car Amplifier Install Wiring Kit - Makes Connections and Brings Power to Your Radio, Subwoofers and Speakers - Kicker 46KISLOC2 K-Series Stereo Line-Output Converter w/Remote Turn-On Output --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://congo.desertcart.com/products/2237031-kitzero](https://congo.desertcart.com/products/2237031-kitzero) --- *Product available on Desertcart Congo* *Store origin: CD* *Last updated: 2026-10-02*
