Why does it say in the paper instructions that there is an asbestos insulating strip, isnt asbestos banned??

Does this work for bubble wrap?

Haven’t tried that. My first thought would be to pop the bubbles first. I’ve tried it on grocery bags on the light setting and it worked great.
