Easier than I thought
I was intimidated by the other reviews but decided to try these anyway. I bought one set and decided to put them on my daily sneakers that I've been using for awhile. It went on so easy! I was able to do it with my bare hands and lacing my shoes was a quick process. The set is comprised of 10 segments of lace that increase in size. I have big feet, so I skipped the 3 smallest segments and went from there. The shoes slip on well and they feel very secure on my feet. I've worn them doing yard work and walking through sand and the laces were very durable. I liked them so much, I decided to buy a second pair of laces. I decided to put these laces on my near-virgin dress sneakers. They're duplicate to my first set of sneakers, it's just that I only wear them for special occasions so they're clean and presentable. Lacing them up was kind of a bitch. I had trouble putting the smallest segment on and I had to get out my needle-nose pliers. I was very careful and managed to get that one on without tearing anything. From there it got easier and I only had to use the pliers sometimes. While more difficult, lacing the shoes went fine. Overall, I'm very happy with the look and performance of the laces.

Perfect solution to laces coming undone!
Game changer! My daughter has been playing soccer for most of her young life (she’s 14 and has played since she was 5) and her cleats are CONSTANTLY coming untied. No matter how many times we knot and double knot those laces, either she or a coach were out there on the field tying her shoes! I went on a search to find laces that lock, or something similar, and stumbled on these. I thought they were an interesting concept; and they cost less than $10; so why not try them out? First of all, I was able to order them in red, which is great because that’s one of her school colors. And the color combines well with the black and white of her cleats. Second, these seem to be very quality! They are definitely not the easiest to install; and my fingers are sore, but not once did any of them snap or rip during the process. They are are super stretchy; and I don’t think she’ll have any issues with them coming undone or needing adjusted! She is super excited about wearing her cleats now; and can’t wait to try these out at practice tomorrow!

Nice easy on and off
Very secure. Easily cleaned. Carefully choose your lengths. They can be difficult to install. May be easier with metal eyelets. Can be type too tight or too loose in places. Works great once the right sizes are chosen.

Difficult to install; questionable functionality
Depending on the size of lace holes in your shoe, these things can prove to be a monumental pain in the a$$ to install. I had to use a pair of needle nose pliers to pull them through, and half the time, little pieces of the laces break off. Not to mention, ripping the inside of my sneaker lining with the pliers, due to having to get a good grip on said lace. This occurred on my Dolce Vita low profile sneakers, for reference. Tiny lace holes! Ugh! It also appears as if the length of the lace pieces, is slightly inconsistent, from one shoe set to the other, as there’s excess bowing in certain laces, which indicates a discrepancy in lengths. See photo. The concept is great, but I’m not sure how functional they’ll truly be, as the shoes don’t seem to tighten enough at the ankle, so as not to slip while walking.

Love how these make my sneakers slip-on and have the appearance of true shoe laces.
I'm a fan of these. Yes, they're rubber, which I didn't realize. (Just note that one side of the rubber has a texture that looks like fabric laces, so that's the side that I put facing up.) And, yes, I struggled with putting in the first one, but I got the hang of it with the second one and breezed right through getting the rest of them in. I especially love how these made my shoes easy to slip on and I no longer have to deal with shoes that keep becoming un-tied. I bought more of these for additional shoes. [Note: I read one commenter who seemed to be confused as to which direction these go. Start with the narrow ties at the bottom of the shoe and move up to the top as the pieces get longer. Just like the picture shows...] I will say to NOT try to use pliers to help with pulling these through. I tried that and destroyed on piece before I learned that it really wasn't that difficult to pull through once I got the hang of it. The first one seemed really hard. So don't give up. It gets easier once you figure it out.

Transformed my old sneakers
Two old pairs of casual sneakers that I always liked, but the bungee laces had stretched out and the shoes sat gathering dust. I got these No Tie straps to see if they would work, and they did. The straps, although a little difficult to install through the eyelets, transformed the shoes so they fit like new. Make sure to measure the width of the eyelets, and keep track of which sizes you use from the package so that you have exact matching sizes for both left and right. Once installed, they are not coming out. Happy with the purchase and getting my "old" shoes back!

Get them right the first time.
You get the two sets of ten. My tennis shoes took either five or six, depending on how far I wanted to go towards the ankles. Unfortunately I started with the shortest on the top and worked down. I found them too tight so decided I needed to go opposite by using the longest towards my ankle. This meant having to take them out and redo. The next try I used six and found them tight against my ankle so once again had to redo them. I didn't use any tools just my fingers. They're easy enough to get in but harder to undo. I got them to where I want them and I think they'll feel better than regular laces but MAN DO MY FINGERTIPS HURT!!! So hopefully you'll get them right the first time and if you have to undo them don't try pushing one side of wing through. I did this route too many times. At the end I finally decided to squeeze the two end tips together while pulling it out.

;-) Hier sind insgesamt 16 Gummilaschen, also 8 pro Schuh vorhanden.

These shoelaces are amazing and I'll never go back to regular laces again. The problem that I had with regular laces was that I hated the bunny ears that would result from tying them. Even when I would tuck them (either behind the flaps or under the soles), they'd still be a nuisance in some way. So, I mainly would just leave the bunny ears on top of my shoes whenever I wore them but it'd look so ugly. It looked messy. Thus, enter in the elastic laces. They're incredible. They got rid of the bunny ears, they're tight, and they were easy to put into the shoe. I've read many of the other reviews where people had trouble putting them on, but personally for me it was easy. Matter of fact, it couldn't have been any easier actually lol. Then again, the shoes in which I used them on did have metal rings to string them through. But, I personally think that even without the metal rings on your shoes, they should be fairly easy to put on. Overall, I love this product. I had no issues with it at all. Furthermore, this is my first Amazon product review so .. yeah, I love these elastic laces a lot lol.

I swear by these types of laces because I have arthritis and an injured spine from a car accident I had 2 years ago. So popping shoes on and off is so much easier and less painful. I highly recommend these for people with any types of disabilities or illnesses that make bending hard, they’re a life-saver.
