Good media, water in tank is clear

This product is great and does exactly what it states, I would have given it 5 stars except for the fact that they are the LARGE size don't make the same mistake that I made. This is not Fluvals fault but my own, they are extremly heavy for Bio Media and only a couple of pieces can fit in most small filters. This size media is best for LARGE filters so make sure you check the SIZE of the media. I suggest the smaller size of BIOMAX. Besides the weight on the larger bio media, it does a great job. There is a lot of surface area for bacteria to grow only down side was mine came pretty smooth and the more porous the more bacteria so I had to scuff them up a bit. I do video reviews for products and will be doing some video reviews and head to head tests of BIO media by testing bacteria film on surface area and putting fluvals products against the famous K1 media and other ceramic media. I tried contacting Fluval to get some of their other smaller media to do the review on but I still have not gotten an e-mail response back so we will see.

I absolutely loved this product. It’s exactly what my fish tank needed to keep my fish healthy and happy. Since I started using it, the water looks perfectly clear and clean. You can really see the difference in the filtration, and my whole family is impressed with the results. Highly recommended for anyone who wants a cleaner, healthier aquarium.
