How easy is it to pull the bottle out, drink from it and replace it while running please?

It would be too difficult for running purposes. I wear it often for walking, but it's a definite two- hander to get it back into the internal bag. For running, I would suggest you look for something more akin to a gun holster. Hope that helps.
