Updated: I emailed Lanaak and got a response from Will 15 minutes later. He apologized and shipped a new set out. It arrived today and is in good working order. Excellent customer service! I ordered the Lanaak kids fishing pole and tackle box on Amazon. It arrived today damaged and obviously used. Specifically, the upper 3 eyelets are missing from the rod, and the reel release button is missing as well. The reel is scuffed. Needless to say, this is disappointing.

The rod and reel is cheap and flimsy and so is the bag the set comes in. I was very disappointed in the item. I should have just ordered my grandson a regular adult rod and reel, but he is just 5, and I thought this looked like a good beginner set. I bought a small tackle box and trashed the flimsy bag this was in.

Very poor quality. The rod broke before I was even able to use it. The reel is extremely stiff and very difficult to operate, making it impossible to cast properly. I wasn't able to use it even once. I definitely do not recommend this product.
