This is a pretty decent bag at the price point. It is relatively lightweight and feels like it would be quite durable. The zips are OK and seems to open and close without too much effort. There's plenty of space inside in 2 pockets and has a useful hip pocket for keys or other valuables. It has hooks to hang a hydration bladder and some "concealed" pockets inside for valuables. The webbing on the sides seem quite sturdy and held my mobile phone without too much worry. The fit is comfortable and a noticeable improvement over "normal" backpacks. The hip belt really makes a difference to weight distribution. One thing to note is that the shoulder straps don't have the same sort of adjustability at the point where the straps attach to the pack as a heavy-duty hiking bag, but you can use the front straps to adjust the height of the pack on your back. It is worth taking some time to adjust the pack before you set off. I have been hiking and using backpacks for well over 25 years and have had good bags and not-so-good bags. I took this one out with a medium load (bulky items such as a picnic blanket, jumpers and food/drinks) weighing in at about 10kg and it was really comfortable. Despite being a nice hot and sunny day, I felt the pack allowed good ventilation on my back. All in all, it is a great purchase at the price point. Sure, there are better packs available, but at a much more expensive price. This backpack is for you if you are looking for an inexpensive pack to take out for easy to medium intensity hikes with small or medium loads. This is not for you if you are looking for professional level equipment that will last 30 years despite being man-handled at every turn. My verdict: if you are looking for an upgrade over your shoulder-straps-only backpack and want a bit more comfort and space, go ahead and get this backpack.

Bought this after asking questions on Amazon to previous buyers that highly recommended,lovely backpack and brilliant quality,I was cynical at first but now so happy,great volume it fits loads of shopping in,material and zips very robust,even has a waterproof cover in bottom of bag,the colour of cover is a hi viz yellow so will help me keep safe on my bike. The straps are very comfortable on the arms and very well padded,the compartment sizing and extra zips and pockets have been well thought out,there is loads of room in the main space and the compartment at the front is a good size too. The back of the backpack is very well padded so you won't get a sore back when shoppping carrying tins etc,which can protrude in some backpacks and be uncomfortable. It's a good weight heavy enough to let you know it's well made but not so heavy that it's tiresome before you have even filled it. I had already returned a Eurohike and 2 Berghaus backpacks that I thought were much inferior to this,and it's a lot more to buy that bigger Berghaus bag,so as well as being great quality,this bag is very well priced. Sorry if my review was long winded,I don't usually write them but I'm so happy with this backpack that I had to leave one,as I knew what a struggle it was to find the ideal backpack.

A very useful backpack, fits well even though I am short it is comfortable to wear and easily handles heavy shopping.

I needed a backpack for a 5 day touring trip and this was the perfect size. Amazing how lots of things that weigh hardly anything when packing them suddenly add up to a rather heavy backpack... however this backpack was so comfortable that the weight wasn't an issue at all. Having adjusted all the straps correctly (worth checking online for a tutorial it makes a big difference) I had no problems carrying this bag and it even had room to spare after putting in everything I needed for 5 days. The pockets all opened nice and wide and had double zippers for convenience. The small zipped pockets on the hip belt were handy for snacks but wouldn't be large enough for most mobile phones to fit in. Is it waterproof? Well. at one point we walked in torrential rain for an hour or so and the outermost items in my pack were fairly damp afterwards (not soaking wet like our feet were!) but to be fair, it was very heavy rain so next time I would be sure to use a liner or even just a carrier bag to help line it. Would certainly be waterproof in regular showers. I have washed this on a gentle wash in the machine and dried it in the sunshine and it looks like new again. Held it's shape, has no rips, no tears, no broken zips. For the price of £23.99 it has so far proved to be a great purchase. Update: this backpack has been used a lot over the last six months and it's still going strong - it fits a 5'6 female and a 6'3 male with easy adjustment. Second update - July 2020: My backpack is still performing well and easily survived a trip to Japan last year. I have purchased a second one of these backpacks (at £28.99) to give as a present. Someone borrowed my original backpack and found it so comfortable they want one of their own!

Good size/colour with good support but bulky and stiff around the shoulders

Fantastic design and value for money nhard wearing and bonus is that this bads includes a whistle and rain cover. Bought for my daughter's DofE expedition. Would definitely recommend.

Good quality and a good price. Sturdy so far and plenty of room for hiking.

Great backpack! Managed to pack clothes for 6 days trip. 3 compartments 1 big, 1 medium and 1 on the front to pack documents or small items. 2 mesh side pockets - perfect for carrying flasks or bottle of water. Water blader pocket very useful, holding the bladder in place. I'm very happy with my purchase
