Great cleaner!
I recently purchased the Aquarium Gravel Cleaner, and it has made maintaining my fish tank significantly easier and more efficient. As an aquarium enthusiast, keeping the tank clean is crucial for the health of my fish, and this tool has been a game-changer. The design of the gravel cleaner is simple yet highly effective. The siphon mechanism works smoothly, allowing me to quickly and easily remove debris and waste from the gravel without disturbing the fish or plants. One of the standout aspects is its efficiency in cleaning. The cleaner does an excellent job of sucking up all the dirt and uneaten food that accumulates in the gravel, leaving the substrate looking pristine. This has helped to improve the overall water quality in my tank, which is crucial for the well-being of my fish. The cleaner is also very user-friendly. It’s easy to assemble and disassemble for cleaning and storage. The tube is long enough to reach different parts of the tank without any hassle, and the materials used are sturdy and durable, ensuring that it will last for a long time. Overall, the Aquarium Gravel Cleaner is an indispensable tool for any aquarium owner. Its efficient design, ease of use, and effectiveness in maintaining a clean tank make it a must-have for keeping your aquatic environment healthy and beautiful. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a reliable and efficient way to maintain their aquarium.

Does it's job!
I was hesitant to purchase this item at 1st because of all of the bad reviews I read, but I decided to give it a try and I am so glad that I did! I don't have a big tank just a 10 gallon one, but before buying this I was using a small net to clean out the bottom of my tank, which took me forever! This vac has cut my cleaning time down tremendously. When using this, it does help that I don't have a thick layer of rocks/gravel in my tank which is very useful. I find that moving it in an up and down motion and leaving it in the same spot for 5 seconds at a time prevents it from becoming clogged. The suction power I feel is just enough to get the job done, for you to be able to get rid of the waste. When you are using it, your water will get cloudy which is to be expected, but it will clear up. When you are done using it, you will need let the water drain/drip over your tank and then have a bowl near by to place the vac in so you can take it to your sink so it won't drip all over the floor. Cleanup is super easy and the filter catches a lot of the super small, tiny particles. I do suggest buying extra packs of the filters when you make your purchase, so you have them. But when cleaning the filter just treat it with care and also allow it to dry before putting it back into the cartridge, and you'll be able to get multiple uses out of it. I have been able to reuse mine up to 5x's as of now and I think I'll be able to use it at least 4 to 5 more times before I need to change it out for a new one. The only complaint I do have is it doesn't come with the hose to be able to use the water change feature, so you do have to purchase that separately, which for the price it should come with it. But other than that I am super happy with my purchase and definitely recommend.

It's okay.
I needed an electric vacuum or my low to the floor aquarium. This works pretty good for picking up muck without taking out water. It's very strong though so you have to watch out for your fish. It's bulky and a bit hard to move about the tank, but the pads of the filter collects everything while your water goes back to the tank. I would use filter floss to replace the pad in the future as paying $10 for a tiny pad to replace it is too high a price. Now to do a water change you don't get the hose and you take out the orange filter compartment to get to the area you put your own hose on. The tubing I have won't it over it. It's a 1/2" I believe. So I have to hold it in a bit with my fingers. It's a bit quirky and shouldn't have to do this with an expensive unit like this. It works though. Just clunky. Perhaps you could purchase a bigger hose...maybe 3/4" and it might slip tightly over the hole area (instead of 1/2" inside the hole). I don't know if there is standard aquarium tubing that is the correct size. Maybe someone could give me some ideas. For right now I am okay with a funky like way of doing water changes. This product feels a bit cheap. Not as bad as some electric gravel cleaners, but for me, the price should be maybe $35. I need a type of gravel vac as I said, to take out my low to the floor tank though so I am glad this works as good as it does. It takes out debris which is what I need for this tank right now. When the tank gets out of the "debris phase" I can just do more water changes with a little water pump and it will be much easier. You gotta do what you gotta do. This will do the job fairly easily, with a heavy duty flow intake if this is what you want. Just watch out for your fish..even though there is a protection grate over the flow intake but still it will suck in fish but at least they won't go into the impeller. All in all this is what I honestly think of the item.

Utter Disappointment: FluvaL
I am absolutely disheartened and infuriated with my recent purchase of the Fluval 11077 ProVac Powered Aquarium Gravel Cleaner and Vacuum. After saving up for so long and eagerly anticipating its arrival for my turtle aquarium, I couldn't have been more let down. The product was delivered on time, and the package was undamaged, which gave me a glimmer of hope. Excitedly, I hurried to my aquarium, read the instructions carefully, and plugged the device in, expecting it to work wonders. To my utter sadness and frustration, the only thing that turned on was the LED light; the vacuum function did not work at all. Nothing. No suction, no cleaning. NOTHING. The disappointment I felt was crushing. I had envisioned a device that would make maintaining my aquarium easier and more efficient. Instead, I was confronted with a useless piece of equipment. The fact that I was so excited yet so let down made me want to cry. Now, to add insult to injury, I have to go through the arduous process of returning this defective product. My closest Amazon return facility is 10 miles away, and given the current 100° heat, this is not only inconvenient but also physically exhausting. The thought of walking 10 miles in such heat, just to return something that should have worked perfectly fine upon arrival, makes me even angrier. Fluval, you have severely disappointed a long-time customer. Your quality control should be better. This experience has completely shattered my trust in your brand. I expected a premium product given the cost and your reputation, but instead, I was met with a defective and useless device. You have not only cost me time and money but also caused immense frustration and physical inconvenience. This experience has been nothing short of a nightmare, and I can't, in good conscience, recommend the Fluval 11077 ProVac to anyone. Do better, Fluval. You've lost a loyal customer due to this sheer negligence and poor quality control.

Works great!
This device worked great cleaning out my tank and the device is the prefect size for my 20 gallon tank. I didn’t have any issues getting to any off the mess in my tank. Easy to use and easy to clean. The fact that I don’t have to worry about hauling any dirty water saves me so much time and energy. The suction is great on this device and I didn’t have any issues but my mess is mainly fish food and waste from my frogs. I have five African dwarf frogs and an algae eater in my tank. They don’t make much waste. The device is very durable and looks great. I have no complaints about this device but if things change I will be back to update my review.

Weak suction doesn’t clean well
Not good for 29 gallon aquarium. The water doesn’t expel from the filter well because it has to be submerged to reach the bottom. Necessitates an extension. Two speed suction seem to pull water at the same rate. Switch is push button and difficult to turn on and off. Also, you don’t know what speed the pump is because both speeds sound and feel the same. Only one filter comes with it which dirties quickly. The filter can be cleaned out but I don’t believe it will last long. What’s good is because the suction is so low, sand doesn’t easily get pulled up. However gravel, like Flourite, doesn’t budge. Making it tough to get anything off the substrate. It fits over some plants so diatoms and other debris can be cleaned off the leaves. I have three stars and that’s being generous. Glad I didn’t pay retail at 80 dollars, it’s not worth it.

Best gravel cleaner I’ve found.
I e tried several gravel cleaners and this is by far my favorite. Works great and doesn’t have to be cleaned nearly as much as the smaller ones. Highly recommend this one.

Better than manual siphon pumps
I use this in my 75 Gal tank. You can spend much more time sifting through the gravel since the water is recirculated back into the tank. The built in 2 layer filter traps all the waste. The suction is perfect. You actually don't want it too strong or else it will suck up more gravel & clog. This of course does suck up the gravel, but only enough to fill the extension about halfway. No enough to clog itself. I suggest buying the tubing when you purchase this so you can also use it for the water change option. The tube does not come with the Vac so you will need to purchase separate. I have used a variety of siphons for different sized tanks and this is by far the best I have used. Definitely worth the money
