This stuff is no joke. The Sunny Isle Extra Dark Jamaican Black Castor Oil is thick, rich, and feels like quality right out of the bottle. I’ve been using it for about 2 months now, mainly for my hairline and beard, and I can already see a difference. My hair looks healthier, feels softer, and even some thin spots on my edges are starting to fill in. It’s definitely heavier than other oils, so a little goes a long way. I warm a few drops in my hands and massage it in—no need to overdo it or your hair will feel greasy. I’ve also tried it on dry skin patches, and it works wonders there too. The scent is natural—slightly roasted or nutty—but not overpowering. It’s not “fragrance-free” but it smells like real castor oil. I wear my hair in locs and my scalp tends to be very dry. Before i had locs, i had no problem finding a product that would keep my scalp moisturized. This past two years however, every product i have tried leaves my scalp so incredibly dry. Either the formulas have changed or longer hair simply requires more moisturizing. I finally got tired of trying to make products like Sulphur 8, Morrocan oil, etc work for me and i switched over to mineral oils. I tried Tea Tree oil, Jojoba, Avocado, Vitamin E, Peach oil....you name it i tried it. My scalp would feel great for a couple of days and then it was back to the drawing board. I was at my wits end when i stumbled across Jamaican Black Castor oil. I purchased it with great skepticism, truth be told, i was expecting more of the same. Product Details The oil is extra dark as they describe it and it is extremely thick. It doesn't appear to have been diluted in any way. MY EXPERIENCE I washed and dried my hair as i normally do, and applied the castor oil to my scalp. The texture of the oil felt great on my scalp and my scalp felt wonderful as i massaged the oil in. The best part?... the oil was too thick to run down my scalp and it was also thick enough to tighten and hold my locs in place. My scalp stayed moisturized for the entire week, my hair felt soft to the touch and my itchy scalp is a thing of the past. The oil is not completely odorless, it has a faint smell of ...well...castor oil. My biggest issue with hair oils is that the oil tends to leave marks on my pillow....haven't had that problem with Black Castor oil

Purchase this around 10 days ago. I wanted JBCO based on my need for something to help with hair breakage, hair loss and hair growth. Based on articles and reviews for JBCO, I purchased this brand and I am very pleased with the oil I received. The viscosity is thick but easy to apply to your hair or face. Just a tiny amount will cover your fave and a nickel size amount for your hair. Additional amount if you add to your scalp. My hair growth journey with take a few months to see but there are other benefits that I can see or feel now. My hair is dehydrated and breaking badly all over. 7 days of this oil lightly applied (and right after conditioning) to my hair has softened quite a bit and hair breakage is minimal in a short time. I apply again a few days later along with a few spritzes of water. This leaves my hair much softer and manageable for several days. This quick change in my hair motivated me to purchase several of the As I Am JBCO hair products. I expect the two together will do wonders and allow my hair to stay where it should and not on the floor or comb. The other usage that surprised me was a face oil. I have started the double cleansing method with jojoba oil and then African black soap. These two together are clearing up my skin BUT my skin is VERY dry afterwards. Now I apply my moisturizer and then JBCO and the results are great. I have now simplified my nighttime routine to 4 products. I am impressed with my skin it the morning. The results are supple skin, my acne is clearing up, minor scars are fading and my skin is far less dull looking. My hair is 4c, dehydrated, breaking and my scalp is irritated and red. At this point I use it on my scalp only after washing but plan to up that to twice a week soon. My journey just begins.

This oil has done well for my hair. It doesn't smell great, but I like that it's thick.

I received a bottle labeled 8oz, but it’s very small. My previous order also says 8oz, but it’s doubled the size of my last order.

I am an African American female in my 50s, with fine hair. In the past, my hair suffered from over-processing and I spent approximately 3 years with hair weaves. Unfortunately, the weaves had taken its toll on my hair and my hair began to bald on the top in addition to the edges thinning out even more. I was given this product by a beautician but it sat on my shelf for a year while I tried to cover my hair with wigs. I went natural and no longer have traces of relaxed hair so I started using the JBCO. Well, well, well...after 1 month there was a noticeable difference so I ordered more from Amazon. It has been approximately 6 months since I started using the product and the bald spot has filled in so much so that I now feel comfortable wearing my natural in public with twist outs. Here's the kicker, because it worked so well on my hair, I decided to thicken my thin eyebrows. I applied it to my eyebrows at night and massaged it in for about 2 mins and viola...my eyebrows are full and beautiful after just 5 weeks. My edges did grow back; however, because of too many years of abuse, they will never totally fill in completely. I agree with other reviewers; there is a smell, somewhat of a burnt odor. I did some research, the smell may be due to the ash that is added from roasted castor beans into the oil. This product works but you have to develop a regiment. I use it every other or third day. I use it sparingly and massage the areas for 2-4 mins. You won't see drastic changes overnight but give it some time and the difference will be incredible. Packaging, as always was great with Amazon and shipping was free and delivered in 2 days with Amazon Prime.

I love the thickness and rich texture of this castor oil. But most importantly I love the my skin is nourished from using it!

I was told to buy this castor oil because it will make hair grow. I've been using this twice a day to grease my scalp And I'm looking for my hair back.

Le produit est bon, c'est une huile assez visqueuse ce qui est normal pour l'huile de ricin, ne pas être surpris si c'est un premier achat, un peu cher vue sa contenance, sinon rien à redire.
