Top quality espresso!

I have Delonghi cappuccino at home, brough this for travel purpose. There is hardly any difference between espresso made from Delonghi and Wacaco. I am impressed with this product. Regards, Mazhar

It can make very good taste esperso quickly and easy

I love the practically of it and it does make a nice cup. My only problem is even if I use boiling water the esspresso is not hot (although pumping it directly). Its warm at best.

This device has a quite narrow and specific target market. People who are serious enough coffee snobs that they want to be able to pull an espresso shot in the middle of nowhere. People for whom plungers, or even mocha pots aren't good enough, they are such insufferable coffee snobs that they have to have espresso. Obviously, I fall squarely in this target market. Using the device isn't terribly easy or quick, but I suspect that can't be avoided. Espresso needs hot water, finely ground coffee and high pressure. To get those to combine in a quite reasonably priced, 300g device isn't terribly easy. However, it isn't overly difficult and with a small amount of practice you will be pumping out shots of high quality coffee. The only real niggle I have is the size of the coffee basket. At a mere 8g, to get a decently strong coffee, you need to do 2 shots, which is quite a faff around. As such, you are not going to volunteer to make a coffee for anyone else and yourself. Again however, I suspect that's almost certainly a limitation imposed the requirements to make an espresso. In summation, it's quite small; reasonably priced and makes excellent espresso. After about 1 month, I'm particularly happy with it. If anything pops up to change my mind, I'll update this review. Update: It's been over 12 months and it's still excellent. I travel a lot, and being able to get real coffee anywhere really makes my life better. Thanks for the product guys.

I bought this about a month ago and wanted to wait to write a review until I'd used it for a while. I was slightly nervous of buying it because of the price, but I have to say that I'm really impressed. I work in an office in central London where all the surrounding chain cafes turn out so-so espresso for between £1.50-2.00/shot, and was fed up of that. This really has solved that issue and pretty soon I'll break even on the investment of buying it vs the cost of buying coffees out all the time. It's a really, really small and nifty device, extremely quick and easy to use and clean, and crucially - makes very good espresso, easily as good if not better than the espresso sold in many cafes. Yes, it takes a few days to get used to, and without question it won't suit everyone; it is a (bit) messy and requires careful cleaning to get the best from it, and if you're looking for espresso right up there like that from a proper machine, sure you'll be disappointed - but this is basically a 20cm long bike pump that makes coffee, so give it a break! All I can say is that it works well for me and really is quick and easy to use, allows you to select your own coffee type of choice, and so to my mind is well worth it. I now use it at least daily, if not twice a day, during the working week, and envisage my taking it on holiday too: I could imagine anyone who regularly goes camping, etc. finding it especially useful.

Hallo zusammen. Die tragbare Espressomaschine von WACACO ist mit Abstand das coolste, was ich mir im Bereich Kaffe/Espresso bisher zugelegt habe. Neben einer French-Press und einem Bialetti Moka Express ergänzt die kleine Espresso-To-Go Handpumpe mein kleines Sortiment. Die Verarbeitung ist wirklich sehr gut. Das ganze Gerät wirkt hochwertig und edel. Man kann das gesamte Zubehör in und an dem Gerät verstauen und mit einem kleinen Beutel umpacken. Mit dem beiliegendem Messlöffel lässt sich die perfekte Menge an Pulver abmessen. Anschließend setzt man den Sieb verkehrtherum auf den Messlöffel und dreht das ganze um. Der Inhalt fällt also in den Siebbehälter und kann dann mit der Unterseite des Messlöffels perfekt angedrückt werden. Nun setzt man den Sieb in die vorgesehene Fläche dafür ein und schraubt den Kopf auf das Gerät. Anschließend kommt kochendes Wasser in den Wasserbehälter (mit Mengenmakierung) und dieser wird ebenfalls fest zugedreht.(AUFGEPASST!! - hier habe ich bei der ersten Benutzung einen Fehler gemacht und den Behälter nicht bis zum Anschlag verschraubt! Dann ist mir beim umdrehen und pumpen das kochende Wasser über die Hand gelaufen. Unangenehm - aber mein Fehler.) Wenn man dann alles verschraubt hat wird das ganze Gerät ungedreht und die Pumpe durch leichtes drehen herausgedrückt. Nun einmal das ganze Gerät umdrehen und die kleine Öffnung über dem Deckel des Gerätes, welcher als Becher dient, halten und loslegen mit dem pumpen. Nach etwa 5-7 mal drücken kommt dann der Espresso heraus. Super schön cremig und schaumig. Intensiver Geschmack und meiner Meinung nach die perfekte Temperatur zum trinken. Ich hasse es wenn die Getränke gottlos heiß sind und man sich den Mund verbrennt. Es ist logisch das während dem Pumpvorgang und der kleinen Menge die bei jedem Pumpstoß herauskommt, der Espresso etwas abkühlt. Da einige Rezensionen der Meinung sind der Inhalt wäre ja kalt und nicht zu genießen.. das sehe ich nicht so. Perfekte Temperatur zum genießen. Ich nutze das Gerät jetzt schon knapp 6 Monate und alles funktioniert wie am ersten Tag. Ich bin vollends zufrieden und würde mir das Gerät immer wieder kaufen. Ganz klare Kaufempfehlung und der Preis ist ebenfalls unschlagbar. Man kriegt hier für wenig Geld eine sehr gute und langlebige Verarbeitung und einen super leckeren Espresso!
