Magnet detector not voltage detector
Excellent magnet detector it helps me to trouble shoot solenoids, for people who doesn’t know this is not a voltage detector.

Don't waste your money
Poor quality all around. Package a pain to open, battery compartment opening very difficult to figure out and, oh yeah, it does NOT detect any magnetic fields. Poor value, does not function, difficult to use. Flashlight works ok, but doesn't stay on unless you keep your finger on the button.

Magnet detector, not voltage!
When you but magnet detector, why you try to detect voltage with it?

Works great, used it to verify which valves were activated on my sprinkler system.

Tool fails to test at times when testing and is dangerous when working with AC Power.
This so clled AC/DC tester is pure junk and unreliable. Sometimes works and most times does not work. Get made in USA . This tester made in China and just a dangerous piece of junk . You want a solid good test when working Power, not a sometimes working tool. Save your life and BUY MADE IN USA. Amazon should stop carrying this junk type tool.

Magnetic Personality
Pretty handy, when you need it. Worked for my application. May never use again in your lifetime. Can use a compass to do the same thing.

Not clear instructions, device did not work.
The pen did not detect either AC or DC on a consistent basis, very unreliable. Instructions are not clear on either battery installation or use of device. I gave it 2 stars because the flashlight part worked well. The package cannot be used again, it had to be cut to open, and thus is not eligible for return. Changed review to 1 star, the flashlight even stopped working. You get what you paid for, or less, with this item. Do not buy!

Works better than I expected it to for checking DC hydraulic solenoid valves. It is a little tight getting the cap off to swap batteries, but nothing you can't handle with a little flathead screwdriver. The light on this is useless though, but that's not what you're buying this for.
