After years of smearing chemicals on my eyelashes through traditional mascara, I thought it was time to go the natural route, and I'm not sorry I did, especially after finding this great product. You do, however, need to put away your thoughts of what mascara should be, and focus on what this mascara does for you. You're not going to get the giant, gloop-filled eyelashes that look almost fake. But what you will get are beautifully smooth, naturally looking eyelashes with a gorgeous tint of color, without gobs of chemicals. Firstly, the mascara has a great smell, nothing like the drug store brands which can often smell a little oily. The bristles on the brush itself are set in a slightly concave shape, meaning there are longer bristles on either end of the brush, and shorter ones in the center. I personally prefer a fuller brush, but after some practice I've worked out how to apply it better. Slow, longer strokes starting deep at the base of your eyelashes seemed to work better than short fast passes. I'm very impressed with the overall look. Not gunky but beautifully natural so you can define every one of your eyelashes. No mascara can lengthen your eyelashes but they can indeed make them *appear* longer, by coating each lash right up to the tips which are often thin or lighter. 100% Pure's mascara does a great job of that too. It's fairly easy to remove with either water or eye makeup remover, although I'd recommend the latter so you're not rubbing the delicate skin around your eyes. The mascara is surprisingly water resistant throughout the day and I haven't experienced any flaking or smearing. Several times I've gone to bed without removing the mascara and it looked surprisingly good the next day. I was frankly a little shocked at how well it held up overnight - no smears or chunks missing, but certainly not as bold as the previous day. This is a solid product that gives you all the benefits of traditionally made mascara, without the potentially harmful ingredients. I'm convinced more natural ingredients are the way to go and don't plan on returning to brand name mascaras any time soon.

For about five years now, I've been suffering from dry eyes. It has affected my quality of life because it not only makes my eyes extremely tired and irritated all the time but I was also getting ulcers on my cornea. A nightmare for sure. What does this have to do with mascara? A lot. I have worn mascara about 99.99 percent of my life from age 14 to present day somewhere in the 40s (ha ha). I never had an issue until my eyes became chronically dry. As a result, I have tried and researched MANY mascaras. I've spent so much on eye products, it's mind (and eye boggling pun intended) just to find that right one that wouldn't irritate my eyes. Specifically, I purchased most of my mascaras from Sephora, several from Amazon, and even tried Etsy. I always checked labels to make sure I was only getting the best, least questionable ingredients. Unfortunately, they all failed. I am consciously optimistic, but so far, this 100% Mascara in blackberry has been fantastic. My eyes are feeling more normal and definitely not as tired as when I wore other mascaras. And yes, I have to wear mascara to feel "normal." I know, I know, but we all have our insecurities lol. Mind you, I have an entire, elaborate routine I have to do each day to maintain a semblance of normalcy in my eyes. But this mascara has been a LIFE SAVER for me!! In terms of wear, I love it. The brush is fluffy, the mascara itself smells amazing, it adds a dark natural length to my eyelashes and stays put all day. This mascara will give a beautiful, natural look to your lashes. It's not for those seeking a dramatic look. Regardless, I HIGHLY recommend this mascara for anyone suffering from dry eye. Even if I were miraculously cured, I would still continue to use this mascara. Six stars!!

When I first tried this product I was thrilled by the way it went on so easily and worked miracles on lash length - definitely the best natural lash lengthener I've ever tried, and I've tried quite a few. The brush is straight (not curved as some) but the bristle lengths are designed to create a U curve, which makes catching those little eyelashes in the corners of your eyes an effortless affair. Hooray! But I was then promptly disappointed. I headed out on a long walk and came home to find that I had mascara all over my face - the dreaded panda look. People must have thought I was seriously tired with those black bags under my eyes! I nearly threw it out on the spot. Because throwing it out would be a waste though, I thought I'd keep it and use it around the house and for extra short excursions out. Lucky I did because one day I forgot to apply my usual moisturizer (100% baobab oil) and was thrilled to find that the product actually stayed in place this time. So what I do now is use a non-oil based moisturizer (usually just a toner and a serum of some sort) when I go out. The lengthening effect of this is good enough to make it worth altering my usual routine, which speaks volumes because I actually love my baobab oil. The other thing I like about this is the smell. Usually mascara smells pretty skanky. I've never really consciously noticed the smell but this one made me realise that all my previous mascaras have been quite awful. It's sweet and innocent and very feminine. No idea what it is that creates the smell but it sure beats what I've become accustomed to. Sometimes mascaras cause my eyes to get a slight itch through what I presume must be some kind of irritation. Not with this one. Not so far, that is. So again, it's a very pleasant product to use. This brand in general is a great brand and deserves your support. From the healthy ingredient lists to ecological packaging initiatives, this brand is definitely one to watch. So while I'd love to give this 5 stars, the fact that I have to be mindful not to mix it with oils is the reason for the missing star. That said, I haven't tried any other oils with it so can't comment there. Baobab is the only oil that doesn't cause me to break out, so I'm not so keen to experiment with others.

I have been in search for a mascara that doesn’t immediately irritate my eyes as soon as I put it on and so far, this seems to be it!! I have EXTREMELY sensitive eyes and honestly, I’ve forgotten to take it off a few times (I don’t usually wear makeup anymore because it all irritates my skin and face) and I woke up and I couldn’t even tell I still had it on till I went to wash my face. Amazing product and I will be reordering when I run out. I may start doing my makeup every day now since I like a more natural look. I love pairing it with those bloody lip tints from TikTok shop for a more exaggerated look. The wand is so nice too, my favorite shape. Gives really wispy look with one coat, but is very buildable for a night out with the girls. 100% recommend this product

I am so disappointed. I wanted to love this so much! I have a lot of skin issues, to include eczema on my eyes and have been trying to get away from harsh make up. This doesn’t aggravate my skin, but, within a few hours I have raccoon eyes. I even tried it with a mascara primer. Same result. Wish I could get a refund. I’ve worn it 4 times now, really hoping for a different result, but still have black eyes where it’s run. :(

I've used Loreal's Voluminous mascara for years, it was a good mascara but I wanted to switch to all natural makeup so I tried the 100% I will never go back to Loreal after using the 100% pure. This is the BEST mascara I have ever used (I've used a lot from drug store brands to expensive brands) and this is by far the best mascara. It smells like blueberries! It separates your lashes better then any other mascara I've tried. With other brands I would have to scrape half the mascara off the wand before applying it so I wouldn't end up with clumpy eyelashes, you don't have to do that with the 100% pure, the brush has short bristles that really separate your lashes. It stays on all day the black tea is a rich dark black color and your lashes stay so much softer then wearing traditional mascara and the best part is I no longer have to use make up remover before washing my face, this stuff washes off so easily!... Update after using this mascara for about a month it no longer has a nice blueberry smell it smells kind of like regular mascara but stronger and it is now thick and clumpy. It is only good for about 4 weeks, at 15.00 a bottle it might be expensive for some to buy a new one every month, I will continue to purchase a new one monthly because I am happy with the results of using this however I wish it would last longer before getting clumpy and smelly.

Even with the high price wanted to love this product. Switching from a tar-based mascara to a natural fruit pigment mascara sounded great. Agree with previous reviews, the smell is wonderful. The coverage is satisfactory for day use. How it failed is the pigment continually dropped to my under eye area. After 2-3 hours of application it looked like someone had brushed soot underneath my eyes.

I have worn this for one full day and am pretty disappointed so far. It is advertised (even on 100% Pure's website) as water, smudge and flake proof. That, it most definitely is NOT! I bought this knowing it was natural and that it may not stay on as long or act the same as the chemical-laden mascara I've worn in the past, but it gave me some serious racoon eyes after only about an hour. I am willing to make some sacrifices to be natural, but this isn't one of them. I have long bottom lashes, have oily skin (I also cleanse with organic oils and keep it moisturized and set my foundation with a powder) and I use Tartes' creaseless concealer (witch contains maracuja oil) until I find a more natural one that doesn't crease. This combination was pretty terrible with this mascara. At the end of the day, a majority of it came off with a light brush of my fingers across my lashes and some water, so I'd say this is not fully waterproof in the sense a lot of us might think. If you touch it AT ALL while it is wet, it will come off. I will say, that it didn't just start running down my face when I splashed it with water, but if you soent time swimming or got stuck in the rain, I feel it would run after it is thouroughly soaked. That isn't too bad for natural mascara. Definitely is NOT smudge proof though and although I have tried mascara that flaked much worse than this one, it still did flake. It was very minimal, but it just added to the disappointment of it being so smudgey. Maybe people that use a different combination of makeup with a different skin type will have better luck. I would recommend not wearing this on the bottom lash, especially if they are long like mine. I do give it 2 stars for natural ingredients, smelling lovely and giving great length and definition to my lashes. It was not sticky or clumpy and went on very smoothly and easily. Probably the easiest and quickest application I've ever experienced. It didn't not take a ton of layers to give me great bold look. It isn't super volumizing, definitely more lengthening and glossy, as advertised. The brush is nice and does its job. The packaging is lovely as well. I might use this mascara for my light make up days when I just want a quick, light coat on my top lashes, but this won't be my go-to. There is another natural brand that is getting good reviews and I will move on to try that. If you want very nice length and definition to your lashes, this may be for you, but don't buy it thinking it will be water proof or smudge proof. If you rub your eyes, at all, stay away from this one. 100% Pure does have some great products, but I really feel like they are false advertising on this one. Even with the "natural/organic sacrifices" mentality, it was dissapointing overall. Will not be purchasing again, but it won't go straight to the trash either. EDIT: I wanted to add a quick note, now that I've been to bed after a day of wearing it. I usually get up the next morning to cleanse my face and have quite a bit of lash loss from standard, chemical filled mascara and I had only two of my smallest, fine lashes drop off. Hard to tell whether these even fell off naturally or from using this product or not. I feel this product is much healthier. I'd be willing to give it another star or two if they didn't claim it to be smudge proof. Hope this helps someone.

While this brand has many good reviews as well as this specific mascara being a clean product without the addition of toxins that usually come in a mascara bottle. The local packaging logistics however was a problem. I know that mascaras and make up generally should not be stored in warm and hot weather but it seems that this product stayed in the sun for sometime… The Mascara is nice and smells like chocolate, not waterproof and come out easily - a pro for me - unlike other mascara brand where you have to lose your lashes to make sure it’s dissolved.

It smells like candy and gives nice natural look It stings a little but then it goes away You can wash it off with warm water and that's what I love about it
