It's a good gift if you have had lessons. It is not for beginners. However use a weighted club with it so they can practice at home. That's what Tiger does every evening before going to bed according to Hank Haney. Something like a Momentus-the shortest one. Don't spend a lot of money on either of these training aids. Used works just fine. I bought mine used on Amazon- It's like new. If they just want to score better and not just make pretty swings, I would suggest that they read:The Elements of Scoring: A Master's Guide to the Art of Scoring Your Best When You're Not Playing Your Best Author's: Raymond Floyd & Jaime DiazPublisher: Simon & Schuster ,1998, New York, NYI bought on Amazon as well :-) Merry Christmas!

Does this fit ladies and men alike same size?

It has an adjustable clamp to fit on the grips of the clubs which I assume it should work for mens and womens clubs. Go to your local Golf Course pro and tell him about this item and he should give you a good reliable answer. The Golf Course Pros use this item for student lessons for training purposes. Good luck

Does this work with the single plane swing?

Keeps wrists lock regardless of plane of swing
