how do I fix the fm antenna

If the antenna is broken and you do not wish to return the radio, you can splice the wire... if you have enough length to work with.  To do this,  use a sharp blade to cut around the insulation of each end of the wire (perpendicular to the wire) approx half an inch.  Be gentle or riser you'll cut the wire inside the insulation.   Once you have bare wire on each side, simply twist the two ends together.  You may add a drop of super glue to help hold the wire (I usually don't).  Wrap the splice with electric tape to prevent the wires from being exposed.  If the wire partially torn, you can cut out the bad section and splice it back together.  If it's ripped from inside the unit it gets a bit more complicated.   I hope this helps

In can be set up in increments of five minutes, starting from “OFF” and then the sequence works its way up as: 5, 10, 15, 20, 25 ... and so on until reaching ... 120 [minutes].TWO HOURS MAXIMUM ‘NAP’ setting.  An eternity for parents and workings class stiffs having to punch in at the office.

I have the SANGEAN RCR-22 and I would NEVER trade this radio in for another, unless of course, it were a NEW SANGEAN RCR-22.

Seriously peeps, this radio/alarm clock is the Business!

Get one ... you will not be disappointed ... and if you are, I’ll gladly provide a postage paid shipping label to send this Lil’ bad boy to papa.

Enough ghetto, in all seriousness, but it, you cannot go wrong, you will be (pleasantly) surprised, and you’ll ask yourself aloud (although it shouldn’t be within earshot of your spouse:

“SANGEAN RCR-22 ... where have you been my entire life.”

Disclaimer: I do own one.  It was not purchased through Amazon. I’ve managed to spill sticky drinks atop the radio.  Radio works flawlessly, albeit with a couple of sticky button on top of the radio.  The only reason to be in the market for one of these is to experience the crossroads of elegantly designed radio, utilitarian functions and a radio alarm clock you can subject to abuse (although I do not recommend this).  Buy it.  You will not be disappointed.

But to answer OP: the NAP setting can be in increments of five minutes up to a maximum of one hundred twenty (120) minutes, which for our mathematically challenged friends works out to a full TWO HOURS, and NOT the one hour another poster commented.  Don’t know which SANGEAN model radio he owns ... or IF he even owns one, but whatever he’s got does not sound like the SANGEAN RCR-22.

Other disclosure: I neither work for, nor own stock in SANGEAN, Amazon, any of its components manufacturers, or anybody else having to do anything with designing this alarm clock radio, and I am most definitely NOT being compensated/paid or provided with anything of value in order to discuss my satisfaction with MY particular SANGEAN RCR-22.

I simply dig the product.

Is there a way to change the snooze duration from 5 minutes to 10 minutes on the clock.

(1) Press "Menu"(2) Cycle through options (Tuning + or -) to "SNOOZE." It will display the current setting (i.e., "SNOOZE 5")(3) Press "Select." The "5" or whatever the current setting is should start to blink.(4) Use the Tuning +/- buttons to set your desired snooze length. Options are 5, 10, 15, and 20 minutes.(5) Press "Select" to confirm your choice, then press "Menu" to return to standard operation.

Question 4

If there is a power outage at the time the alarm is set for, will the alarm still go off?

Accepted Answer

No.  The RCR-22 doesn't have a built in battery backup.  If power is lost the radio and alarm will not work.  It does have a "super capacitor" that holds the time settings for one hour should you lose power.
