“This retinol moisturizer has a rich yet non-greasy texture that absorbs well into the skin. It leaves my face feeling hydrated, smoother, and more refined. I appreciate that it’s fragrance-free and gentle enough for regular use. Great value for the size.”

I bought this Ebanel retinol cream quite a few months ago for the purpose of getting my skin ready for lowest dose retin A for rosacea treatment (vascular type; not acne). I compared many different types of retinol and this particular one seemed to have many nice ingredients that I would like to apply to my face. I used it faithfully for three months in preparation of retin A, and I have to say, I was a bit sad to leave it behind, I liked it so much. Very nice cream and it did wonders for my skin in that it looked healthier and happier. It felt wonderful. Little lines softened and I thought some of them sort of disappeared. I didn't expect that, at my age mid-50s. So, I've been using the lowest dose retin A in Ebanel's place and all is going well because I prepped with this product. I have since bought another bottle of Ebanel to use on my neck and upper chest area since the retin A is supposed to only be used on the face in my case. I thought, why should I not be using my Ebanel on my neck and upper chest all these months? That was not too bright on my part, but now I am happily using it again, but from the chin down. Nice stuff. I use only at night as it does have a bit of a greasy feel to it, which I am okay with because the ingredients are worth it. I really like it. If you have VERY oily skin, it might be too much for you, but if you are moderate to dry, like me, it's a lovely night cream. Update March 2023: Still really like this product. I’ve bought a couple more bottles since first review. I’ve switched to adapalene instead of retin a as derm bills are too high to keep rx going. Fyi- I’m getting better skin strengthening with adapalene. Love Ebanel retinol for neck and upper chest. We are all different of course, but this cream is so nice and does make a positive difference, for me. I do stand by that if you have very oily skin this would likely be too much for you. Small dots rubbed in does the job.

This is a reorder for me. I love the size of this pump container of retinol, and the price can't be beat. I have very thirsty, dry and sensitive skin with tiny pores. It's important to find products that absorb into my skin instead of sitting on top of it. I have fine crepey skin under my eyes, and fine lines are setting in. I struggled with severe eczema for the first 26 years of life, and also bad allergies which caused me to always grind my fists into my eyes to itch them as they felt itchy, weepy and red. After years of having triamcinolone on my whole body and face, my skin is thin and translucent. You can see every vein and blood vessel on my face. FYI - they no longer prescribe triamcinolone for the face BECAUSE of the skin thinning. Anyways, I need something that works for me, and Ebanel does. I have a whole skin routine I do - cleanse, tone, serum, more serum, facial oil, then moisturize - and Ebanel is the last step. I use one whole pump for my face, neck and collarbone/chest area. If I have any extra on my hands I use it on my shoulders or hands. I also have keratosis pilaris, and retinol moisturizers are awesome for that too! I can't say I've noticed any reduction of wrinkles so far, but I am terrible about doing my skincare regimen every day and night. Results may differ for someone who is diligent about their routine. I DO notice that my skin is more moisturized and retains moisture better, it is softer and more plump looking, and I have a nice glow when I wake up in the morning. And while I don't see improvement with the wrinkles and fine lines, they aren't getting worse either. I think those reasons are enough to use this product! It's affordable, too and I need everything in my life to be affordable! Ebanel is a light or pale yellowish green color. The thickness is somewhere between a lotion and a cream? There is a mild scent that is neither pleasant nor unpleasant. I don't remember if there is fragrance added or not, but I can't smell it (and I'm a super smeller and taster!!!). It doesn't bother my sensitive skin - no burning or itching. I once bought the Amazon brand, Belei, retinol moisturizer, and I find Ebanel to be comparable to that, but much more affordable, and more bang for your buck! I believe the retinol content to be better than other cheap brands, but less than high end brands, and obviously less than prescription retinols or Retin-A. I once tried my mom's prescription Retin-A, and it burned and turned my face red for days! Ebanel definitely works, because if I try to rub it in too much, I'll start getting skin pilling and rolling off, which is a sign of exfoliation. I used to think it was silicone based products that were pilling themselves, but nope! It's skin. And it's gross! LOL I find this to be a mild, yet effective, affordable, middle of the road, product in this category. Retinol also works for acné - when my teen has a breakout, I have her use my Ebanel for a few days, and it clears up SO MUCH FASTER than on its own or with acne pads or cleansers! I can't say enough good things about this product!

i'm a guy in his 50s with all sorts of surfing and heavy sun background in high shool. about 10 years ago a dermatologist suggested a heavy duty facial peel. i'd never paid attention to my skin condition and realized it was looking old, sun damaged and had wrinkles. it took me about another 8 years to get around to finding some products that work and very consistently using them. nothing works immediately but within a span of less than a year i've made impressive progress reducing longtime sun spots on hands and creating younger looking skin. for my face using this product i've reduced forehead lines, a big hollow line under each eye, and tightened my neck and acne skin damage in areas of my face. this product is not a light puffy cream...when i started it using it nightly and fully on my entire forehead it soon was turning it red as if sunburned, so with 2.5% liposomal retinol (it says) it can be harsh on the skin if not respected. i've since just applied it to the lines on my forehead to stop the redness. i was referred to it by top skin care specialists on youtube, and decided to roll the dice after i saw such top reviews. my only other product i'd used was a famous 12% glycolic acid cream which i'd used off and on and also found it to be quite good. i now use them back and forth on different nights to impressive results as time goes by. the only thing is the dispenser in this product is exceptional, both very easy to use and easy to get even the smallest amounts out with ease. i've rolled the heavy line under each eye back about 5 years ago when i didn't use anything, and seen other improvements across the board as described. i'm sure one can find other products out there that work as well, but at the price, and that it has famed retinol and hyaluronic acid, etc, i'll stick with what i know works. and pleased to share the info. good luck.

They have changed the ingredients. I bought this in 2023, when the front said: "Hyaluronic Acid, Peptide Complex, Vitamins B5, C & E, Stem Cell Extracts, Resveratrol, Aloe Vera Juice, Shea Butter" and lists "Wrinkle Filler - Firming - Lifting - Dark Spoot & Blemish Defense - Pore Minimizer" The back lists these 52 ingredients: Water, Bis-Stearyl Dimethicone, Butylene Glycol, C12-15 Alkyl Benzoate, Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, Glycerin, Dimethicone, Polysilicone-11, Polymethylsilsequioxane, HDI/Trimthylol Hexyllactone Crosspolymer, Cyclopentasiloxane, Glyceryl Stearate, Dimethyl Isosorbide, Hydroxypinacolone Retinoate, Laureth-12, Pyrus Malus (Apple) Fruit Extract, Palmitoyl Hexapeptide-14, Ethaxydiglycol, Decapeptide-12, 1,2-Hexanediol, Nicotinoyl Tripeptide-1, Retinol, Polysorbate 20, Vitis Vinifera (Grape) Callus Cutue Extract, Rhododendron Ferrugineium Leaf Cell Culture Extract, Malus Domestica Fruit Cell Culture Extract, Butyrospermum Parkii (Shea) Butter, Simmondsia Chinensis (Jojoba) Seed Oil, Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Juice, Panthenol, Phospholipids, Ascorbyl Palmitate, Retinyl Palmitate, Tocopheryl Acetate, Ascorbic Acid, Resveratrol, Sodium Hyaluronate, Lecithin, Ceramide NP, Isocetyl Alcohol, Cetyl Alcohol, Cetearyl Alcohol, PEG/PPG-18/18 Dimethicone, PEG-100 Stearate, Carbomer, Xanthan Gum, Triethanolamine, Fragrance, Caprylyl Glycol, Ethylhexylglycerin, Hexylene Glycol, Phenoxyethanol I bought this again in 2025, and the front says: "Shea Butter, Ceramides, Hyaluronic Acid, Bakuchiol, Licorice, Camellia, Nacinamide, Resveratrol" and lists "Brightening - Firming - Lifting - Minimizes Wrinkles & Fine Lines" The back lists these 56 ingredients: Water, Butyrospermum Parkii (Shea) Butter, Glycerin, Ceramide NP, Ceramide AP, Ceramide EOP (Ceramide 1), Decapeptide-12, Nicotinoyl Tripeptide-1, Retinol, Resveratrol, Sodium Hyaluronate, Niacinamide, Hydrolyzed Collagen, Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, Persea Gratissima (Avocado) Oil, Glycyrrhiza Glabra (Licorice) Root Extract, Retinyl Palmitate, Tocopherol, Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Juice, Phenoxyethanol, Glyceryl Stearate, PEG-100 Stearate, Bakuchiol, Geranium Maculatum Extract, Vitis Vinifera (Grape) Callus Culture Extract, Simmondsia Chinensis (Jojoba) Seed Oil, Camellia Sinensis Leaf Extract, Ascorbic Acid, Panthenol, Tocopheryl Acetate, Boswelia Serrata Resin Extract, Citrus Aurantium Dulcis (Orange) Peel Oil, Camellia Japonica Seed Oil, Rhododendron Ferrugineum Leaf Cell Culture Extract, Polygonum Cuspidatum (Knotweed) Root Extract, C12-15 Alkyl Benzoate, Allantoin, BHA, BHT, Lecithin, Cholesterol, Isomalt, Cetearyl Alcohol, Butylene Glycol, Dimethicone, Triethanolamine, 1,2-Hexanediol, Ethylhexylglycerin, Carbomer, Xanthan Gum, Disodium EDTA, Ubiquinone, Phytosphingosine, Sodium Lauroyi Lactylate, Ceteareth-20, Polysorbate 20 I don't understand *why* they changed the ingredients. Of the ~52 ingredients, they changed 22 of them, and reordered several of the remaining 30. For example, Shea Butter used to be low on the list and Dimethicone high on the list but now they are the opposite. BTW if you are reading reviews, sort by date and read the Recent ones instead of the Top reviews. I haven't used the new one long enough to be able to compare the effectiveness.
