Mattel KerPlunk Kids Game, Easy-to-Learn Family Game for 2 to 4 Players, Don't Let The Marbles Fall

Our granddaughter's (4 & 6) love playing this game. Our little one will play with it all by herself just putting the chips in the rack and then dumping them out! Kerplunk is a simple, timeless game that kids love. But this game should not be used around little kids that stick things in their mouths! Definitely a choking hazard for babies and very young children. Use your head and be safe always!

This is a very fun game that even my 3 year old granddaughter enjoys playing. I purchased it as a "sensory" tool for her as it takes concentration, coordination, visual acuity and patience to insert the sticks into the "tube" before you can play the game. She loves counting the marbles and putting them in the top once the sticks are in place, then we start pulling out sticks, sometimes I have her pick out certain colors during her turn, to focus on color recognition. She quickly grasped the concept of removing sticks that are not near the marbles, and then to choose sticks that would be safe for her but will drop marbles when it's my turn to pull out a stick. It's a simple game, but very fun. My older grandchildren enjoy it too and the "adult" children find it fun so I would say this game is good for ages 3 to 100! Again, because of the "sensory" impact of this product. BUT, it does take time to get those sticks in just right before you can play the game and that can contribute to losing interest in the game because the set up takes awhile. The product itself is OK, it's just a simple plastic tube with a plastic base that fit together fairly well, the plastic sticks are sturdy enough for the game and the marbles are good quality. When not in play I store it in the box it came in, the "tower" comes apart and the 2 pieces, plus the base fit well back in the box, I put the marbles in a plastic bag and the sticks went back into the bag they came in. I wanted the more or less "traditional" KerPlunk game and this product meets that requirement. It's NOT an "easy to travel with" game, but it is possible to take it to a friend's house in it's medium size box. If you're looking for a fun, simple game for preschool to "elders" this is the game for you. I can't stress enough that it's a good "sensory" tool that focuses on many different skill sets in both the set up and playing aspect of this "simple" but effective game.

I was so glad to find this item on Amazon! I use to play this game when I was a child (many years ago) and now I had a chance to introduce it to my grandchildren. They love it also!

Bought this for family fun but the sticks are very flimsy and difficult to put in and remove during the game.

Finishing of the coloured sticks not so great...My boy got scratched by the not smooth finishing along the sticks ...Although they were just minor scratches but for a child product....It is badly finished...I would say
