*These were installed in a 2004 Pontiac Grand Prix GTP rear deck lid and powered by an AMP* I was quite surprised by these speakers. The sound quality, and bass these output is phenomenal. These are hooked up to a 3200 Watt/800w RMS 4 Channel Amplifier along with the other set of speakers. If you give these the correct amount of power, you will be as impressed as I am with them. Surprisingly you will think you are running a subwoofer with these speakers the way the bass hits with them. Even with all the bass output, the highs and mids are extremely clean. I can't attest to how these sound with no external amplifier powering them, but at such an inexpensive price, and the quality these speakers put out, this should be a no brainer for a purchase... Now to figure the best way to modify my 5.25 door speakers to accept 6x9 speakers so I can run another set of these.... Anyone complaining that these are NOT 450w, does not understand audio. 450w is the PEAK power. a burst of up to 450w. (Not constantly run at 450w.) The RMS is 150w, which is what the safe operating power is to constantly run. Always check what the RMS power is. Manufactures will always flaunt the peak power as bigger is better! Both RMS and PEAK is important, but when setting the power, do not exceed the RMS. For reference, a stock audio system with no aftermarket or stock amplifier USUALLY runs speakers at less that 20w per speaker. I am running these at around 120w per speaker. These are LOUD. Putting the full potential power into these made the LOWEST volume setting on my deck too loud for easy conversation with a passenger. Even now on the lowest it is borderline. (Small car).

Impressive Sound.Total Bang.Highs are clear and Lows are well handled.Obviously It's not a subwoofer so keep your expectations real. Update: After a break in period of a week these compete/compliment my subwoofer.These are installed in my front doors so produce nice lows in the cabin

This was a significant upgrade for low $$. For this I did need a 1/4" spacer to clear the window mechanism. I made mine. I also ordered the adaptor kit for the wire harness. This made the job so much easier. The sound is clear with good punch for both highs and lows. I did not need an Amp, sound levels were fine for me. Clearly these speakers can handle more power I you want .
