Long time “semi non professional “ armorer
Great product. I’ve had no issues with either end. It’s a great hammer. I’m a semi non pro bc I have a full time day job and armor police weapons sometimes. This tool is in my kit and works well. If it causes problems I will update. If you want to see how dedicated I am to updates, go find my Kershaw Clash Black review. First post was 2016, updated several times, last post was today. Full disclosure, the Clash Black might have just been the Clash in 16, had a gray blade. This is a good gun hammer, if you hurt your gun with this, it’s your fault.

8 oz BRASS “tap” hammer w/DELRIN cap
First off, I was unsure about weight, so I tried 8oz (1/2 Lb) and 16oz (1 Lb) Gearwrench sibling hammers. 1 Lb is way too heavy. 4oz is a flyweight jeweler’s unit. 8oz is perfect. Then, I tried this (Grace BH-8DT) version, with a black plastic DELRIN cap. Perfect! Use with punches to remove “roll” pins during firearm disassembly, or other delicate work. The DELRIN end won’t scratch items, for gentle tapping. It was obvious to me that the (Gearwrench 81-110G) is made in the same USA factory, by the same artisans, using the same production processes. See photos. This upgraded DELRIN version, sold under the Grace branding, is worth the extra $4+. Buy with confidence from this 3rd party seller (Bowers Tool in TX). Transaction went smoothly.
