I was skeptical when I ordered 2 of these bowls. I expected them to be lightweight and ineffective at keeping the ants away. I was completely wrong! These bowls are substantial, not cheap as I expected, and they work great at keeping the ants away! I use them outside at my feral/stray cat feeding station and was having a terrible problem with ant infestations in the cat food. Today I came out to add more water to the moat and saw that one of my cats had been a little sloppy and spilled a piece of food out of the bowl. One piece. That piece was completely covered in ants but just an inch away sat the rest of the food, completely clean and ant-free. I couldn't be happier with this product!

Works perfectly

This works perfectly well but the container size is small. We are having a bad ant year and I had bought the larger sized one for the strays we feed (7) so for our inside cats I bought the smaller one but I have to fill it 2 or 3 times daily. So I just bought another of the larger ones. This size would be perfect for a single pet I think.

I got this bowl for the stray cats that come to my porch. When I fed them before the food would always get swarmed by ants. This bowl has worked so far with keeping ants out of their food which is great, and it was affordable. The only problem is that it constantly is spilling/slipping and ants get in it when that happens. Overall though I’m happy with it.

Great solution for outdoor feeding where bugs tend to find their way into a food bowl. The water moat keeps bugs like ants out of the food. Be sure to change the water in the moat every now and then to keep a fresh bowl for your pets. Very sturdy and well made. Easy to clean and use.

Very small. I'm currently using it for my kittens so not sure if it helps with ants because they are indoors. Not really big enough to use outside.

I finally whipped the ant problem with this product.Perfect for my outside cat.It works. It really does!

Ho usato questa ciotola per dare da mangiare al gatto in giardino senza che incappasse in un pasto pieno di formiche.... Che dire quel piccolo bordino pieno d'acqua è un ottimo deterrente naturale! La ciotola non è molto capiente ma preferisco così in modo da dare sempre cibo fresco al mio gatto.

It might be okay for a kitten, but way too small even for a little Chihuahua.

Ì bought this product because ants were attacking my cat's food on the floor. The product works. BUT... PROBLEM 1: a bowl for food and water makes no sense. Ants don't attack water. So you only need to protect the food. PROBLEM 2: Almost everyone puts catfood on the floor and yet fills the bowl on the kitchen counter. That means you have to bend down and pick up at least 4 to 6 times per day. WHY? There isn't enough room for the food. PROBLEM 3: The bowl area for the food needs to be larger. That way, if you go away for the weekend, you can give your cat enough food for 2-3 days. PROBLEM 4: The moat works great to prevent ants from attacking the food. But if you use dry food, the water in the moat or the other bowl will make your catfood all soggy. RECOMMENDATION: One round bowl for food only with walls 1 cm higher. That way it's easy to pick up without getting water all over the place. Also someone can buy matching bowls, one for food, one for water.
