Is there any documentation about the safety of having this under the car seat? Ive talked with car seat manufacturers and they said it compromises saf

Well idk about safety documents but I was in an accident and the car seat didn’t even move. This seat cover is well made, and car seat stayed in its place.

Does this item comes with TWO protectors or is it describing as "Stage 2"?

There is only 1 protector. The "first stage" is the bottom protector since baby car seats only require the bottom half. "Stage 2" is the top half to cover the back of the seat when you have a larger car seat.

The paperwork that came with my seatsaver clearly states that it may damage my leather seats. Has this been a problem for anyone?

I have leather and have owned these since april. I live in texas where we have been hit with well over 100* most of summer. Even the Texas heat hasn't caused any problems. I purchased them to save my leather as the dents were noticeable even with blankets. My seats look brand new now and no back or seat marks from carseat. I just ordered a set for my husband's truck to go under car seat and booster. FYI my boys are 36 lbs and 60lbs.

What is the material that it is made of?

It's very durable and washable with a wet rag. The bottom part is made of a high density foam, kind of feels a little rubbery. It helps protect the seat. I've had one for the past five years with my older boy and loved the protection. I bought another when the baby came and love it just as much. Well worth the money.
